We have 3 kids ages 3, 5, and 8 who have been coming to Tumble Gym in Chapel Hill for the past two years. All three have enjoyed it very much. We have missed several classes over the years and have always been offered make-up classes even though we haven't taken them up on any of them! Our favorite instructors are Ms. Amy and Mr. Markus - they are amazing! Both are fantastic with kids of all ages, and their classes are engaging and challenging, while emphasizing proper technique and safety. Our kids have made great progress with them. For kids under 24 months, they offer a FREE Tumble Babies class you just pay a registration fee which is around $35. This class often has a long wait list - it's a great class to get little ones moving and used to being with peers. We've also had a birthday party here, and be forewarned that while there is plenty of room on the floor, the small room where they eat can only accommodate about 8-10 kids comfortably with their parents waiting outside the door. The other thing I would mention is that sometimes it is very crowded, especially if classes are changing and they have a camp or after school program going on. It can get a little stressful, but the classes do run on schedule and once things get started it is better. Overall, we have been happy with our Tumble Gym experience!
My wife and I have a 2-year old granddaughter and we have taken her to Tumble Gym several times. We only keep her occasionally, so she does not take regularly scheduled classes, but she loves to go to open gym time to play around and practice her tumbling and jumping. The gym is clean and well stocked with equipment for all ages. The staff are very nice and friendly and we always feel welcome there.
Our experience with the Tumble Gym in Southern Village has been terrific! Our daughter has been participating for a couple of years and has gain confidence, strength, coordination and balance, as well as body awareness skills. The staff is amazing, showing great patience and experience as they work will all ages and skill levels. We feel so lucky to have such a great place in our neighborhood! Thank you for the fun, the skills development and a great place to move our bodies!!!
Tumble Gym is a great gymnastic program especially for beginning gymnasts. The coaches are extremely caring and make the classes fun. I appreciate the flexibility of the program. The Stars Team introduces the gymnasts to competition without any pressure. I have also hosted birthday parties here and those are the easiest, most fun parties.
Our kids really love this place! Marcus is a fantastic teacher and he is truly dedicated to teaching and mentoring these tumblers. There is always good supervision, which is important given all the equipment in the room. The staff is very flexible with scheduling changes too!

There is no partition between the children play area and the front door, which means children can walk out and any adult can walk in. My husband found my 4 year old son in the hallway when he came to pick him up granted my son must of seen him coming and ran to greet him. My husband became very scared and upset over the lack of security for these 2,3,4,5 year old and up. Ms. Mary who is a sweet, professional woman is alone in the morning checking in children, taking payments, greeting parents and the children during this time are left unattended. At Rite time facility in Wake Forest or on Durant road have a glass wall between the play area and the drop off/pick up front office. There is a door only a adult can open to let a child in or out. I just think its unfair that after this morning I heard all about how my husband allegedly “over reacted” while this facility took no responsibility for the lack of safety. My son will not be going back there.
My kids love Tumble Gym! The staff is wonderful.
