The Mission of the University of Arizona Police Department is to provide a secure atmosphere conducive to the education, research, employment and daily community lifestyles of the institution. To accomplish this mission, University Police Officers and employees of the department must be: Unique in their operations; dedicated to the community in which they serve and live; aware of the cultural diversity and differences of individuals; fair and impartial while performing their duties while maintaining continuing interaction and cooperation with the students, faculty, and staff of the University, the Tucson community and the balance of the criminal justice system.
