This page features teaching, research, and extension endeavors on the University of Georgia Tifton Campus.
The UGA Tifton campus lies in the heart of Georgia agriculture. Scientists on the Tifton campus primarily focus their projects toward traditional agriculture. These projects include but are not limited to research on Georgia's main row crops: cotton, peanuts, tobacco, small grains, soybeans and vegetables. Tifton campus researchers also conduct leading research in the field of irrigation and global information systems.
On the Tifton campus, students can earn a prestigious University of Georgia degree closer to home. UGA students get hands on opportunities to work with Tifton campus researchers and apply what they learn in the classroom.
The mission of UGA's College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences is to seek, verify and apply knowledge related to agriculture and the environment, and to disseminate this knowledge through student education and public outreach.
