OMG. You need to go here if your ever in the area. Great food and best Ribs I had in like a hundred year. Food great, service was stupendous Thank you Amanda atmosphere is cabin like. Over all what a great time we had and left feeling like we were important customers Thank you management for being here
Don’t order soup “to go” from the Up North Lodge. 1 this is supposed to be a bowl, for 6$. It’s the size of their cups that you get at sit down. So, for 12$, I got enough to actually fill a bowl. 2 don’t get me wrong, I like hot soup. But your container, again has left me wanting. The top got so hot, it failed. 3 the soup was virtually tasteless and the “Corn beef and cabbage” was all cabbage.
Very nice building. Large bar. And their food is decent. The cuisine is standard bar and grill style with some fun twists. Probably the nicest restaurant in the Gwinn area. They have an out building they use for weddings. I peeked in there and it looks like very nice.
Great food . The ribs fall of the bone and are super filling . But the mashed potatoes had no flavor. The salmon was scrumptious. But the bartender has no consistency of making drinks each hawian punch they made tasted different. But when we mentioned it they did remove it from the bill. Over all IL be back next time we are in town Vegetarian options: Go some where else vegans
Beautiful place. We had burgers and a salad. They had tap beers and specialty beers also. Menu looks really good for suppers and lots of fun activities and specials throughout the week too. Bartender was very nice and the whole place is spotless. Very relaxing atmosphere to go to for a change of pace. Bring the whole family.. Great sleigh rides. I am adding pics.
This is a great restaurant! The food is amazing, especially the ribs! And the root beer soda from the tap is also great! Joellen was out waitress and she was fantastic! Certainly coming back here again whenever I am in the area!Food: 5/5
Absolutely amazing ribs and delicious sides. The Bloody Mary is also a treat. Always worth the drive and one of my favorite restraunts in the UP, even before the beautiful view and excellent service. One of the chefs came out himself with our soups and to tell us about their local desserts.
We had whitefish - cajun for 1 and blackened for the other. Very, very bland and on our last trip, it was amazing, so we were surprised. Ran out of lettuce, so no salads. Asked for extra fries or beans, etc since they ran out, decided not to since they wanted to upcharge us when they ran out of salads.... weird. But the drinks Blueberry Mules were wonderful, and so were the sides.
Excellent venue, not cheap but great service. They had live music outdoor. Oh ya excellent drinks. Oh ya our waitress was awesome!Food: 5/5
If anybody is in the area and like ribs they should definitely stop here. Great food, great Old Fashions and great service.Food: 5/5
