I went in to mail a very light box with a value of $20. They first said it would be $20 to send it, I asked if there was another option and they said they could send it through USPS for $10, still high but i’m already there so I say yes. They put my item in a padded manila envelope and get it ready to send. They try and send twice and the system would not let them send it using the USPS. I said I would handle it myself as I was not going to pay $20 to ship a $20 item. They then said, ok “well I will just ring you up for the bubble wrap”. I stated I didn’t need it as I would probably just bring the item with me next time I flew to see my son. They informed me that since it was sealed they could not reuse it and would have to charge me. They said they couldn’t do anything with it. It’s not the money, it was only $4.18. My issue is, you offered a service, you couldn’t provide now I’m eating the cost of your mistake? I would have been fine if you had me pay half of the retail rate since I didn’t use it, but $4.18 on a padded manila envelope? Your cost is less than a $1. We all have all choices where we do business.
We shipped items, in this case salt & pepper shakers, that we got in Alaska. They took our items and stacked them on a shelf. My SIL, who lived is N. Carolina, received eczema cream & lotion! While we were refunded $20, it in NO way makes up for the loss!!! I get to spend the next few hours calling the various stores we visited in Ketchikan and incurring far more expense than the $20. Do NOT allow them to place your items on the shelf for them to do it later! Make them pack it, seal it and label it in front of you! Saying I didn’t dispute the $20 is absurd! Your store rep said, “This is the best I can do!” How does that sound like a justifiable offer? Not once were we told that we could dispute the $20. Pathetic!
Always a great experience at this location. Employees are quick, friendly and efficient. Clearly know what they're doing
Great experience for shipping an international package! I had initially gone to FedEx, but it was expensive, about $270 for a 10kg/22lb medium size flat rate box, and they require you to call customer service to get an EEI number which seems so unnecessarily complicated. After multiple calls led nowhere, I decided to check UPS, which actually quoted a better price $160 for the same box and it was very easy, I got it all done within 15 minutes. They have a partnership with USPS for the international shipping. Excellent customer service, good prices, efficient and professional.
I hate giving 1 star review, but beware of this place. I came in today to scan confidential documents and it was emailed to the wrong recipient despite hand writing the email and verbally spelling it out for them. I told them it was confidential information and they just didn’t seem to even care.
Thanks for ignoring us at the notary :D literally waited in line and had five people who came after us helped before us
Outstanding service. Caleb helped me get my camera safe and sound, packaged up, and ready for delivery. Won't go anywhere else when I need something valuable shipped.
Nice staff and helpful! They usually take care of everything pretty fast so the line doesn’t get too long. Happy to ship my packages there again.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Sometimes this UPS Store location is very busy with lots of walk-in customers queued up. I am a regular customer and the average waiting time I have experienced over the years is under 1 minute. This location rents mailboxes, receives deliveries, packs and ships via UPS, FedEx, and USPS, makes photocopies, and sends and receives faxes. The staff are always cheerful and efficient.
Awesome service from the two young men and the rest of the staff at this store. Helpful, relaxed, always able to get what I need done in the right amount of time.
