Sadly, consistent with the other reviews, this UPS location has lost its local touch and appreciation for customer service. The tape charging policy of $2 is disappointing. As the owner replied below, they have to cover costs - understood, but perhaps considering a more reasonable “tape charge” would be a good way to honor your customers and this small community. Additionally, as a business owner you are putting your employees in a difficult situation every time they have to justify the charge to customers. The attitudes of the staff reflect a business culture that is clearly trying to cut costs without consideration of being a pleasant establishment.
Under this new ownership/management..They charged me one dollar for one of those small blue Amzon envelops "USED", and one dollar for about "TWO" inches of tape to close the envelop top!!! What a nasty and mean coustomer service.
Unfortunately the management at UPS has recently changed, and service has plummeted. I too just went to drop off a box and the new owner wanted me to pay $2 for tape or buy a full roll. I’ve been frequenting this UPS for more than 20 years, and was surprised by the new owner’s attitude. Rather than offer a one time exception, he quipped that “everyone is charging more for everything now” and when I said I’d take my business elsewhere he said “enjoy spending $6 on gas to drive somewhere else”! nb: I just saw all of the other recent negative reviews of people who’ve had similar tape & attitude issues. Too bad, it was a great little business under Linda & company.
Went in to send packages out and had one box untapped. I have used this location for a year now and never had an issue. For a small piece of tape they wanted $2 or for me to purchase a whole roll of tape to close the box up. I asked for a one time grace period as I was not aware of the new policy, however they declined. I have never been charged at any postal service for a piece of tape.
Slow and cheap not in a good way I've used UPS stores off and on for things for years. While I've had worse experiences, this one wound up on my negative list and low star rating for two key reasons: 1 To say they were slow in getting things done is being nice. A portion of it is very forgivable - new trainee. A portion of it, however, was just a lack of situational awareness. 4 people in the store. 1 is a manager who is concerned with other things. 1 is a trainee. 1 is capable and seems to be nice - too nice really. She goes "above and beyond" for the customer she's working with. This is great up to the point where the nice chit-chat and general niceties are deaf to those waiting not me, I was being helped by the trainee - although she could have used the other gal's help sooner. 1 was standing around looking at stuff and, when asked about something, was in the "I don't know, I don't do register..." camp. Nothing terrible in all this - just could have easily been cycling through those waiting and/or providing the trainee more help and easily doing so without unreasonably sacrificing other service elements. 2 Today, mine was a simple Amazon return. It was boxed as received save for me having forgot to tape it. I got a mini-lecture about the way it was packed even though the manager acknowledged they could do it "since it was the way it was originally shipped", and then was charge $2 for them taping it. OK, technically they put something out, but you're not winning any customer service awards charging $2 for 10" of shipping tape and taking nearly 10 minutes to get said $2 rung up... Like I said at the top, I've had far worse experiences, but this was lacking in any way that said "we're happy to have your business". It became easy for me to see why my wife does all her business elsewhere...
I have never left a review of any company before. I used this store for several years because they were close to my office and generally helpful. Yesterday, I went there to get ten boxes of documents shredded from an old lawsuit I am a lawyer. I entered and the employees were hitting each other with rolls of tape. I asked if they could shred my documents. The manager said he would just put them out back in the recycle bin for a fee. I left and called this morning to speak to a manager. The manager told me she did not care what happened yesterday as long as her employees did not get hurt. She told me to go and try to have fun ruining someone else's day. I really liked this place. But now will never go back. They seem like they are hurting for business anyway. Very sad.
Tried charging me $3 to print a piece of paper. It’s like they’re trying to get bad reviews The ‘new’ management is awful Worth driving further away to another UPS
DO NOT USE FOR NOTARY SERVICE. I went here to get a chance stack of real estate documents notarized. They charged me something like $120 just to put the same stamp on a bunch of different pages. But whatever, those were their prices, so I paid it. Today, I went to the county to file the documents and was told the notary stamp was in the wrong place. The country person was helpful, even had a sheet already printed up showing where it was supposed to go. Apparently the rule changed 3 years ago. I'm not sure what this UPS store is doing for their $10 per signature, but clearly not staying up on the rules of being a notary. Avoid, is my advice.
This Store is awesome! I called several different stores about questions I had about a package and was hung up on! This store answered all my questions and gave me the information that I needed to get the package delivered under the circumstances! You guys are awesome!
Not pleased with the behavior and expertise during notary
