The Upstairs Studios is a collection of artist studios and exhibition spaces focused on developing a supportive artistic environment in San Antonio.
Throughout its history, the Blue Star Arts Complex has been home to a number of working artist studios, in addition to its galleries, performance spaces, and commercial businesses. Today the Upstairs Studios continues to be a space for artists to work in. The complex is dedicated to maintaining and improving the vision and functionality of this space. By creating a cohesive aesthetic for shared and public spaces we aim to strengthen interaction with the public, develop a more communal, supportive environment, and have an identifiable presence in the art community at large.
