The Vegetables Garden Restaurant

I attend the same church as the owner. He is faithful to the church, an Usher, a Retired Military Man. His breakfast is home cooked on the spot. Hot links, Sausage Patties, Bacon, Grits, Toast, Jelly. His lunch is also good. Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Sweet Potato's, Baked Chicken, Cornbread. Ribs on Friday. All home cooking!!!!

This stop was a gamble. We wanted breakfast in the middle of nowhere and decided to give this tiny spot a try. It felt like walking into Uncle Pookie's place! As soon as you walked in you got that old time Southern mama cooking feeling. As a vegan there weren't a whole lot of options for me but what I had was delicious: grits, a biscuit, potatoes made to order, and lima beans that he happened to already have prepped for lunch he took pity on me and let me have some lol. My boyfriend enjoyed the turkey sausage and salmon patties. I think there would probably be even more options if we'd come for lunch but we enjoyed our meal and the price couldn't be beat! We'd definitely come here again.

Black owned! Breakfast is made to order, fresh and hot! Doesn't take long at all! Family setting, great food and amazing customer service.
