It doesn’t get much better than Chambers Bay when it comes it’s WA golf. A tough test of skill and endurance but forgiving enough for the average weekend player. The first 14 holes all lead up to an incredible final 4 holes with spectacular beachfront views with many risk/reward shots available. Everyone should play here at least once but really I couldn’t appreciate it fully until I played it a few times. The staff is friendly and welcoming, Chris is a great caddy, the food is good quality and the beers are cold. What more could you ask for? Spend a day at Chambers Bay and I promise you won’t be disappointed!
I LOVE Chambers Bay. This is one of the most fun and unique places you can enjoy a round of golf. Every single hole is unique and interesting. Lose control and get off the fairways and things get extremely difficult but stay on the fairways and you can shoot a pretty good score. The sand is everywhere and really makes for some tough golf. The 18 holes are a workout up and down the hills. Conditions are always excellent at this course. The staff is top-notch and I really enjoy the good practice facilities before a round, This course is world-class and is a must-do for any golfer in the area. If you are on the fence about coming here, just do it. It is worth it. Between the holes you play the views you experience and generally the whole vibe, it will be a round of golf you won't forget. Edit: Just played again yesterday. It is late-November and the course is in unbelievable shape. Kudos to the groundskeepers. Just a special, special place to spend a day. Love it so much.
I really liked playing here! The place is well maintained Very high class. The price of playing can be pricey but it’s worth trying it out once. My son and I received some lessons. The instructor was awesome Matt. He was very professional and informative. By what he showed my son and I, our game increased immensely. He is a huge asset to their academy! The bar was nice. The staff there was friendly and professional. Besides the golf course, there are trails and a park. I will definitely be back. I really want to eat at their restaurant.
Probably the best public golf value in America. Played here several times and it never disappoints. Staff is always super friendly and accommodating. The course is always in great shape even with so many rounds put on it this past year. Shuttle from the proshop to the first tee works well. Lower Practice area is awesome. Having to walk the course adds to the experience and helps you connect to the course in a cool way. It's quite the hike so be prepared for that. This is a must play if you are in the Seattle area. Played here for $90 at 1:50pm and it was unbeatable value in my opinion.
Amazing course, tough in places with some fantastic fun holes to play too. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The vastness of the course with the elevation changes make it a challenging walk for some but if you are able, this golf course is well worth playing!
Absolutely beautiful course. The only other links-course I've played in the Northwest that comes close to this was Tetherow in Bend, OR. But this was a little different. From the parking lot and pro-shop, the views begin. Pro shop has plenty of apparel and anything you may have forgotten. Once you're checked in, a shuttle will take you down below to the course and drop you off at the warm-up and concession area. Here you will find the driving range, chipping area & putting green. There is also a concession stand with a nice selection of food, snacks and beverages. Bathrooms here. Chambers Bay is a good challenge. Bunkers dont just abound, they dominate the landscape: nasty, tight pot bunkers 8 feet deep; sprawling wide open sand running nearly the length of a faiway with rough patches scattered throughout, etc. No water, except for the views. One signature tree. Gently rolling faiways and tricky greens with at least a break or two in anything over 3' away. Significant elevation changes, so with no carts being allowed, it was a little exercise to walk 18 here. Beginners and even weekend hackers may want to reserve a caddy, especially if you're inexperienced with links play. Staff was excellent at every interaction: polite, professional and courteous. Great experience and I look forward to playing it again.
One of the best golf venues in America. Incredible property, views, and plenty to do for the whole family. An incredible layout from Robert Trent Jones II. Great food, awesome staff, the best sunset views around on a layout like you’ve never seen. You really can’t pass up the opportunity to play here. Must visit!
Great tough track, drains really well and is in excellent condition throughout the winter. Walking only course, so bring a pushcart or get a Riksha. Lots of hills.
One of the most wonderful public golf courses I have ever played. It's a true gem. It’s a course that I will never tire of. A course filled with incredible challenges, amazing views, inviting golf play, and holes that force you to make difficult golf shots. I love this place.
One hell of a golf experience. Photos are great but you have to play it in order to understand. Lucky for us we caught a near 70 degree October afternoon. Great service, friendly staff.
