Dr. Wagner is very caring and empathetic to what the patient feels and needs. It is fun going to the dentist, or periodontist, in this case. I was there on Thursday August 24. I love the Wagner Center. I have been there several times and finally will post my first review. I love Ajax. The dental hygienists have been wonderful. The people out front have been a joy. The facility is first class in all respects.
I had a frustrating interaction with Dr. Rebecca Wagner and I was hesitant to post my concerns when her office sent me an invitation for comments. Therefore, I tried to share my concerns directly with Dr. Wagner via email, but I received a letter of dismissal without any discussion of my questions and concerns. I would NOT recommend the Wagner Centre based on my implant experience. I was prompted by her office for a comment on social media and felt I needed to warn others about what they might encounter, particularly the cost. Her office staff was friendly and the service was prompt but the rest of my care was concerning. I was so concerned about what happened that I decided to seek care in a different office for my implant. I shared my concern with my dental office and encouraged them to reconsider their referral patterns. This difficulty has delayed my care and forced me to find another implant provider, but the final cost of my implant will be less than half of what Dr. Wagner was proposing to charge! I observed three things that were particularly concerning. Firstly, Dr. Wagner failed to review my old records and imaging before DEMANDING more imaging. Secondly, she repeated examinations that my primary dentist had just performed without review of my records or discussing it with me then charged me for these services. Thirdly, I was frustrated by demands for my credit card number by phone before I could schedule my first appointment. I mentioned my concern about the unsafe nature of this practice and offered to bring my credit card to the office but was told my appointment would be cancelled unless I complied. Giving credit card numbers by phone is a recognized unsafe business practice.
So very grateful for Dr Wagner and her team who are so thorough,kind,and knowledgeable. Dr Wagner put me so at ease throughout the process as did her girls Donnah and Sam. Thanks for giving me the self confidence I don’t think I ever had about my smile. Love to u all
Doctor Wagner and her staff provided exceptional care and service. They are completely devoted to the patient outcome. They have gone above and beyond any expectations I had! They were thorough in communicating my options and my treatment plan. I could not be more pleased with my outcome! I am very thankful to this exceptional team!!
The level of care that I received was beyond expectations. Dr. Rebecca's staff took their time to carefully explain the procedure and the after care and any possible complications that may arise and how to handle them, while making sure I understood that someone from the office was available 24/7 if I needed anything. Update 4/1/23: Dr. Wagner's team really cares and it's quite apparent in the top self service they provide. Excellence.
Dr. Wagner is the best. She takes the time to explain what needs to be done so that you can understand and has a voice that is so calming if you are like me and get very anxious while at a dentist office. She is the best at what she does and I would go nowhere else!!!! Her staff is very knowledgeable and also very helpful when answering your questions.
At the initial consultation and assessment, Dr. Wagner and her assistant, Samantha, were very informative, took adequate time and effort to explain what was being done, why, and what the implications were. The depth of information was excellent and truly appreciated.
Everyone was very nice and professional. However when I called in they told me it would be a lower cost for my initial visit if I provided updated X-rays. I had three different medical facilities provide X-rays that were a few months old. Because they weren’t the “right” kind I had to do more X-rays at the Wagner centre a kind of X-ray dentist and orthodontists don’t do. This cost me double in price…about $400. I wouldn’t have been upset had they just told me upfront I needed the X-rays and had to pay that amount. The next thing I wasn’t fond of was that when I called before the appointment I asked if they knew how much my insurance would cover and all they said was it depends on the insurance. After I got there, they told me they were out of network for all insurances and that the procedure I needed would need to be paid for in full by me and that my insurance would need to reimburse me. I understand that this is their policy and they way they operate but did not appreciate the lack of transparency before the appointment.
I went to the Centre with a lot of questions about a needed dental surgery. Sam and Dr. Wagner took enough time to answer all of them and give me reassurance about the procedure. Dr. Wagner also discovered another important issue that my regular dentist had missed. I was pleased with he whole experience and will have the procedure done soon.
The Wagner Center truly has their patients best interest at the forefront of all they do. From each staff member I had contact with, to Dr Wagner herself, they all offer not only professional service, but also compassionate care. It is very apparent from the moment you walk in the door that The Wagner Center functions as a team. Each person has their own position, but it is obvious that they will also drop every to assist in providing you with your needs at any given moment, even if it falls out of their realm of duties. Dr Wagner literally gave up her own lunch time to offer me the assistance I needed when I recently made an impromptu stop at the office. Through a referral from my general dentist as well as a close family friend who has been a patient of Dr Wagners for 10 plus yeas, I am confident with my decision in choosing The Wagner Center.
