The Wedge Restaurant & Bar

About

The Wedge.. Now defunct house of food, music, drink & love

Description

The Wedge was once A restaurant, bar & live music venue located at the point where Pennsylvania, Maryland & Delaware meet. If you were lucky enough to make it in over our 4+ year run I hope we managed to put a smile on your face & a story of two..
Unfortunately we were forced to close our doors prematurely in late August of 2012 due to "reasons beyond our control" please keep tuned - We are applicable~

"All of our hamburgers are made fresh to order, and we take pride in our fast service and reasonable prices as well as our tasty food. Whether you’re coming in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, we’re sure to have something to tantalize your tastes. You can top off your burger with our large selection of fresh toppings or you can be a little adventurous and try one of our signature burgers, including the Double Wedge Burger, Wedge Three Burger, or even a Five-Wedge Burger. In fact, we’ll stack your patties as high as you want. Just tell us when to stop."

The food is decent quality for a fast food joint. The walk up window area is very small and has been dirty every time I go. Food on the floor, sticky substances everywhere. Kinda gross. Needs a new paint job as well. The atmosphere is severely lacking. It’s a fun building that goes back to the 1960s days of little walk up windows, but it needs some TLC. Service has always been pretty good. The employees I’ve interacted with have been nice. Parking: Very small lot. Maybe six spots.
I love the chicken sandwiches here. They take me back to my childhood when I ordered them for lunch in elementary school. At Wedge Burger, I get the spicy chicken sandwich with the works. I also ordered a plain beef patty for my dog @Chica.Girl_
Frequent customer but it just keeps getting worse sadly. $4 for 5 onion rings… no chili on chili cheese fries… paper wrap in our burgers tonight… have had some good burgers here but seems like the care level is zero as of late. Bummer. 630pm Weds night.
Drive thru mostly type of restaurant! Can order at front window on foot. Parking is small, food is good!Food: 4/5
Ordered thru door dash the food was cold and soggy tasted awful very disappointed flavor was awful it was in the back of the que so it sat there this is typical of DoorDash just terribleFood: 2/5
My experience was epic The burger was perfect since exactly what I needed at that time in my life it all came together food being on a planet with water and other people it's just all came together!!
The boysenberry shake I ordered didn’t have any berries in it. Just tasted like a vanilla shake.Food: 2/5
Cheap price, classic greasy drive-in burger. Small shake is under $3. Keep in mind there's nowhere to sit. Parking: Parking spots for about 6 on site
My girlfriend and I have been going here as an in and out alternative, same price but shorter lines. Our 1st time there 2 months ago was really good experience, hot fresh food, and same price as in and out without the wait But the last 3 experience's there have been not as good and we noticed now they have zero lines in the drive thru. Our last trip there on Friday was the worst. We got barely warm, stale fries, not a big deal I said, I just went to the window, ask for fresh fries. The lady grabbed my bag, not a word, and when I saw the guy inside put new batch of fries in, I assumed they would give me back fresh , hot fries. Nope, got the bag back and they were literally the exact same fries warmed up, still not hot, still stale, definitely not fresh. This is my very 1st review for anything, ever, that's how bummed out I was.it was the principal of the situation. I'm not asking for much when it comes to fast food, but that was a slap in the face when they rather reheat my fries instead of just giving me fresh ones that they just made. Just so you guys know, 90% of people choose burger joints based off their fries. Now we know why there is no line in the drive thru.
I was going to rate them 4 stars as an In-N-Out alternative, until the days of stomach troubles part kicked in.Food: 1/5
