Everything else is fine not worth the $360 that the price skyrocketed to because of a Red's game, but fine, however for the love of Moses please rethink your elevator "upgrade." I just wanted to get to my room after a long day, not be launched into another dimension, and yet we ALWAYS waited at least 10 minutes for an elevator. Not having them stop at every floor doesn't save time, it just annoys everyone. Call corporate and tell that braintrust to go back to the standard way of operating elevators and let us pay what the room is actually worth.
Where to start… The rooms smells like musty mildew and was just stale smelling. The front desk literally gave a family of 4 keys to our room and they walked in on us. So that wasn’t great luckily the family was cool and we saw them later that night but like come on guys that’s crazy! Then just when it couldn’t get weirder here they loudly started knocking on our door at 9am for an 11am check out to see when we were leaving…who does that we were sleeping The fact we had to pay for this experience is silly In other words just stay at a different hotel this one is no bueno
This was at #TheWestinCincinnati ... I showed the front desk these pics. It doesn't even cover ALL of it though. This ages old cup was found under the bed, where Drew could reach because he was looking for toys. So it's not like it was too far under for any adult to grab. The vent in the bathroom may have never been cleaned ever. The sink wasn't draining, and every time we would run the water too long, this is what the sink looked like. the shower had those ridiculous refillable shampoo/conditioner/soap, the soap was empty, and how gross is it that those probably don't get cleaned either and God only knows what prior guest may have put in there. Brett said the shower had hair in it, but he washed it out before I could take a picture. I showed the front desk these pics and they offered me a new room but I was like, at this point what is the point? This room NEVER gets cleaned but you have a room that does? Unlikely. Worst $459/2 nights ever. Now i know why so many people bring their own sheets, blankets, slippers, etc when they travel. If only we had had the room to bring all that stuff too.... This was NOT a trip worth taking. If anyone was wondering...
This was a great staycation and the rooms were really nice. Staff and valet were very accommodating. The rooms were nice and modern. Had a great view of fountain Square and not far from where Taste of Cincinnati was being held. My only issue was even though there are signs EVERYWHERE I was confused about the high-tech elevator at 1st. So maybe a little more explanation when you arrive at check-in would be great. I saw the signs but didn't really pay much attention to it until I realized it was for the elevator use! I felt very safe with these new elevators, though. You can't access any other floors except the one you choose and have to have your room card. Nearby activities: Right in the middle of all the action Safety: Cant access the floors until you have a key card for the elevator
I would not recommend this hotel under any circumstances. It is overpriced and in dire need of renovation. During my stay, the staff was practically nonexistent, including a 45-minute wait for valet service. To my surprise, the valet was nowhere to be found, and the front desk attendant instructed me to park my car in front of the hotel and lock it for the night, as no one else was authorized to handle valet parking. The hotel's hallways emitted strange odors, and the elevator had no buttons, only a keycard reader, raising security concerns. This was further highlighted when two men from the street followed me into the hotel, asking for money and attempting to enter the elevator with me.
First, I just arrived. Second, I immediately came into the room to leave this review. Horrible experience with the valet!!! Good experience with the front desk. 35 minutes to get up to our room. New elevator system that is chaotic at best. For the people traveling, cancel your room immediately. Save your self some trouble!!! Find another hotel!!!
First off i want to clarify that this was during the weekend they taylor swift was in town, which i know added chaos and confusion. However, the price gouging during this time 900 dollars for a room normally 200 should have secured enough staff to handle this event. First issue was the parking. I get that parking lots would be full and downtown would be very crowded. However, I had to drop my pregnant friend at the front with all our items and leave her to check in while i parked the car far, far away. No staff offered to help her, even tho there was staff outside. A random group of fellow swifties helped her carry things up while I struggled to find parking. The next issue was the fact that rooms weren’t ready at 4pm check in. i know it was busy and quick turn over. I get it. However, people payed good money for their rooms. Not having access to their rooms until far later in the evening after the check in time after paying that large amount of money is ridiculous. The excuse was the laundry wasn’t done. If all you need to do is put sheets on, give people access and come in later to put on fresh sheets. We needed bathrooms. A place to get changed. it is crazy to me after spending all that money we still couldn’t even get access to the room for the full time it was supposed to be guaranteed. The poor staff at check in had to deal with angry customers and turn them away because of poor managing and planning.
Great location and clean rooms, but some of the amenities are lacking for the price. There is no pool. I feel like for the price they should have smart tvs. Parking is $21 per day. Great views from the rooms.Rooms: 4/5
It was a relief checking into this hotel after having a somewhat bad experience at a hilton. Marriotts always seem to have better employees and higher standards. Our traditional room was huge and very clean. They sold corona light and I didn't need to use very many marriott points to get my room free.
Used this hotel for a business trip. The rooms are okay, good view if you can see the fountain and town square. Not too pleased with the amount of customer service at this hotel. The big thing for me is the elevators. They claim they are "high tech" but they are very poorly maintained, almost all of them make loud popping and cracking noises when you get on, which takes forever because they keycards scan and then you just wait and wait. Me and somebody else while on this business stay got stuck in one of the elevators for over 20 minutes. Do some proper maintenance on the elevators. Next trip out, I will be sure to request a different hotel, not a good experience.
