The Whale

This is an outdoor bar that has live music every night. They have a permanent BBQ food truck. And can I say the mac,n cheese bowl, topped with pulled pork and he added coleslaw and fresh jalapeños to mine, is literally freaking amazing. He is a transplant resident from Kansas and he is totally killing it. My bf got the burger topped with pulled pork and omg yummmm. The bar is just as awesome. The employees are great and on the ball. A very comfortable atmosphere. The people are all very friendly. It's across the road from the beach so it has a great view as well. All in all this is my favorite place in Florida. By far.

Amazing outdoor bar experience! We haven't been down to the beach since Ian. We were excited to see The beached Whale up and running! A big beautiful tent of hope you might say. We stopped to have a few drinks and listen to the live music. Service was great, drinks were great, music was great! We didn't eat, but there was a food truck and everyone eating kept telling the bartender how good the food was. Wheelchair accessibility: There was handicapped parking and a wheelchair accessible bathroom, but the area under the tent is beach sand.

Great food!! We were greeted by a wonderful hostess who offered us a great spot upstairs which overlooks the street of Ft. Meyers Beach. The special was Grouper on Risotto with an amazing sauce. The ribs were delicious and tender and the fish and chips was also spectacular. Great little spot!

Stopped in for lunch after arriving in town. We sat upstairs out on the deck. Beautiful weather. He was shaded and I had Great place to people watch. The lunch special was smoked wings. Luv this place. Friendly staff. Great drinks. Great food. Huge portion at a fair price. Had the beach bread with bacon. Very good and filling. Did not leave room for entre. Came back next day for more drinks and food. Did not disappoint.

Had dinner in the rooftop lounge. Great atmosphere and excellent service from Benjamin. He helped us make a decision on getting a fish grouper and chips dinner. We are picky fish eaters, and get turned off by veins and black threads in a supposedly white fish. Definitely will never eat grouper again. Other than that the french fries were excellent. Great place if one likes seafood I suppose. Features: None.

We had lunch here on a Saturday at lunch time with our two boys ages 12 and 14. The restaurant was steady but not overly busy. We sat outside, which was a really nice way to take in some of the local scene. Sergio, our waiter, was attentive and knowledgeable, even though it seemed like he had a lot of tables. My husband had the grouper tacos, which were amazing. I don't like fish, and these were incredible. Our table also ordered shrimp, a salad and chicken wings, all of which were very tasty. They had a decent beer selection and the margarita I had was good. We would definitely come back again. Updated to add: we came back a second day and the food was just as delicious. By far the best food was had on the island during our trip. Alicia was our waitress on day two and was just as attentive and friendly as Sergio. I can't recommend this restaurant enough.

At the Whale in Fort Myers. One of the family owned businesses that were affected by the last hurricane that hit Fort Myers. Although fighting to get back to their glory days, by far the best Burger I ever had in Fort Myers. I love this place and will definitely be back for more delicious food.Food: 5/5

We went to the beach to grab lunch and enjoy the day after driving looking for parking ended up here at the Whale which not only had a parking lot but was free parking. So we came in had an awesome lunch and Amazing drinks the Hurricane Charlie was the best. Nice beachy atmosphere. This tent setup is 10x better than the old Whale. I hope they never rebuild.
