Spectacular experience! Wonderful Meeting! Amazing Fellowship! Could have stayed there! Wonderful people, felt like home, very welcoming, very encouraging! Sweet kind people sharing AA, Bill Wilson's legacy, sobriety, genuine care for each other, and sharing life's experiences.
This is an amazing destination, full of good energy and welcoming acceptance. I traveled here in 2003, from the little town of Narberth, Pennsylvania. That's where I got sober from alcohol. I'm indebted to AA, the fellowship of the rooms and others who shared their experience, strength and hope. Also my mom. She was my biggest fan and I'm glad she knew I was her sober, loving daughter before she got sick with Alzheimer's. RIP Mom. <3 A friend in our group was celebrating 30 years sober when we visited. That was really something! You all made it so special. Visiting this historical home and meeting the other visitors and those who keep this gem going enriched my life, to this very day. Thank you for all the hospitality way back then. We were visiting in a snow storm so the next day we headed on up to the slopes for a day of skiing too. Magical experience! Thank you so much!
A historical site with spiritual connotations. The Wilson house is a piece of a Norman Rockwell painting brought to life. The inn and staff are incredible, maintaining a functioning bed and breakfast, while providing a living history of the co-founder of Alcoholic's Anonymous, Bill Wilson. A functioning meeting hall sits in back for Friends of Bill. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Each Friday a dinner is served along with a healthy dose of spiritual awakening. Truly an emerald located in the Green Mountains.
Quaint Vermont Inn run as a non-profit organization. People are friendly, food is wonderful, atmosphere is charming. Staff is very welcoming. I can't wait to return!
This house has giving me my life. I worked there for a time and now to be able to volunteer there it feels awesome. It's home for me and gives me the chance to give back. So thanks to Bill W. For giving me away of life.
Years ago I’d wanted to “one day I’d love to go see Bill Wilson’s home”. Where the meetings took place etc. Today I’m here attending a meeting and staying the night at the hotel. What an event!
The Wilson hose is prohibiting the aa meetings from making coffee and its not ok. AA is the backbone of the guest at the Wilson house, meetings are advertised on their website. guest of the inn are given coffee yet the group conscious is being told from management we cannot pay for and provide our own coffee. Review will be removed promptly when AA is allowed to make decisions for AA again
The Wilson's house is a magnificent experience as going through its interiors and seeing the full range of decorations, recognitions, photographs makes it possible to understand the origin of Alcoholics Anonymous. This place is a hotel where you can breathe a unique peace and tranquility, its meeting room for AA sessions are very intimate and comforting with plaques from many places and with AA-style phrases it is a fortune to meet and see this magnificent site this place is the true reflection of LIVE AND LET LIVE
I celebrated 28 years sober there October 8, 2022.
Wonderful historic home of Bill W., co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous, tucked into the small town of East Dorset, Vermont. A spiritual weekend retreat, with excellent food and a most kind and helpful staff, keeping Bill's legacy alive! Coming back in May, fir Women in AA, historical retreat.
