Pride was off the chain this year! I stayed away from the tents and met amazing people along the way!!!
Love how spacious and shaded this park is! Had a great time stilt walking during the KC Lawn Party. I'll be back again for sure!
Great area as my wife and I attended the water lantern festival here and it was very relaxing and thoughtful. People shared their message and we did some meditation. It was very eventful.
Huge lawn space with a great view of Brush Creek and downtown Kansas City! Really comes to life at night. Attended the water lantern festival here and it was so well done!! Everything was well planned and environmentally friendly. Such a fun time!!
Today's visit was in support of the annual Vision Walk. We had rain lightening and thunder and it all cleared up for the event. . The park in located in a great central spot close to the plaza and art gallery. There's street and parking lot parking with a nice path through the park.
Here for Pride Festival. It's a large park with fountains nearby, along Brush Creek, large trees, and great locations all around. In the shadow of the Nelson-Atkins art museum, gardens, and UMKC.
Great event in Kansas City! Frank A. Theis Park is wonderful and well kept. The view at night overlooking the river and the Nelson is beautiful. Lantern Festival
Overall had a great time EXCEPT for the entrance to event !!!!! Security stopped everyone to check for weapons even my little cigarette holder/bag. My daughters friend had a little fanny pack and she had a mini pepper spray SO....they took it and told her she could have it back when we're done in side the event at the park and to just stop back by there and get it from them. So we were ok with that. BUT.....once we got back to the entrance to leave they told us....NO!!! & THAT ONCE WE TAKE POSESSION OF ANY ITEMS IT'S THEIRS!!!! COMPLETELY WRONG AND VERY VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL ATTITUDES as far as i was concerned.
Well maintained and beautiful mall. Lots of room to wander and a short walk to the sculptures near the art museum. Really enjoyed walking here.
