This place is the perfect get away. It's affordable and the staff are super nice. For those people complaining about the pools it's mineral springs. Obviously they have never experienced this before. The only draw back, the sites are close to each other. But everything was awesome. We stayed 3 days and soaked in the springs every day. The grounds were clean and kept. We will be back. Thank you Fountain of Youth staff The Pixleys
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. And the other campers were extremely nice.... but if you are reading the other reviews and going... NAHHH let's try it they are all being dramatic. We aren't. Pump outs were underneath our neighbors chairs, the hot springs had dead worms floating next to the 2x4 railing, no laundry and unusable showers that you are required to pay for. If those things don't bother you, the views are gorgeous and like I said staff couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating.
For the money this was by far the most expensive night of our multiweek trip they could put some funds into grading the sites. And trimming the low hanging trees. Site was Very unlevel. Watch for ant hills, and mosquitoes, while you're trying to get level. Also, it would be good to spread folks out rather than leave half the park unbooked. Privacy was not a thing here with tight spots, which can be fine with the right angles and landscaping. We felt awkward having our windows open and shades up. If you use the hot pools here instead of paying at the private pools in the Hot Springs park, the cost is more reasonable as pools are included. The pools were enjoyable, would be improved with more robot skimmers keeping the water less full of debris. We generally go to the State of Wyoming bathhouse free for 20 minutes. We like smaller, hotter, pools, generally. We would stay here again and request to be in one of the distant sites. Note that this is not walkable to town and you cannot see the river from the park. Road and train noise were not an issue for us.
We camped here for a night and they "forgot" to inform us that there was a train track right behind us. We slept terribly after hearing trains drive by all night. The bathrooms and showers are run down and in bad need of repair. This place is a dump and the ONLY good thing about it is the hot spring. But the pools also lack repair. Swing by for hot spring and get out cause that's the only thing worth stopping in for.
This was a convenient place to stop for the night and the staff person who checked us in was exceptionally nice. The facilities and sites are kind of run down. The pool hours were posted as opening at 7 am but everything was still locked when we left around 9.
Not very well maintained, RV site overgrown and fire pit hadn't been emptied in awhile. Showers were filthy...and you had to pay a quarter to use them that lasts 2.5 minutes. Never used the hot spring pool but it is large. OK for a one night stop over but I wouldn't stay longer than that.Service: 3/5
I really want this place to be nicer and to stay for a few days to enjoy the springs, but it's just an old run-down RV Park co-located with a great thermal spring. RV Park manager was professional, but this whole place needs a thorough renovation. Laundry facilities are inop. Facilty showers looked awful. Stair railings into pools are old 2x4s nailed to PVC.
Quiet little campground, LOVE the hot springs pools. All they need here is a cabana boy with drinks to top it off Service: 4/5
We didn't camp but we did go and swim in the pools. The pools were way hotter than usual. The first pool is usually pretty cool compared to the rest. All 3 were way to hot.Rooms: 4/5
Tried to get a reservation, multiple calls and messages left but no return calls. Drove by and looked deserted. The pools look nice.Service: 1/5
