A Quarter Century At Third Street Market

It will be 25 years ago in October, 2011 when Dawn and I made a very good decision with our very good friends, Richard and Bonnie Closson. We purchased Third Street Market from them, opening a whole new world for us. At the time, I didn’t know tofu from turnips, but we knew how to work long hours. With Dawn greeting customers while I ordered and stocked products, we inched our way forward on a long learning curve.

I love information and research and with the help of many excellent newsletters and knowledgable customers, we slowly came to grasp the basics of health and nutrition. And it’s those basics that we still emphasize today.

It’s hard to recover from disease, whether the affliction is cancer, heart problems, arthritis or any other ailment, without taking care of the basics. So at Third Street Market we don’t treat disease. Rather we help guide our customers with the basics of balanced health. We like to emphasize proper digestion and elimination, blood sugar balance, vitamin and mineral imbalances, and relaxation and sleep. Of course many other issues affect health and healing, but optimizing the basics helps all of us experience more energy, be more productive, and ultimately enjoy life to the fullest. Once the basics are addressed, we can explore curative approaches to more serious ailments.

At Third Street Market, we believe in working individually with our customers. We like to be able to ask you some general questions about your health and your lifestyle, and then focus in on nutritional supplements that will address your concerns. Consequently, we do ask that you allow time during your shopping visit for us to work with you and discuss options and approaches.

Dawn and I love helping people and we have been very fortunate, through the years, to have been joined in our efforts by truly amazing employees. We’ll be introducing these employees to you in the months to come.
