This 'n That Too is a home based business specializing in a little of this and a little of that. Our products are all home produced.
Larry and I started our home based business in 2013. Through word of mouth and Facebook our products began to sell and we decided to get serious about this "retirement" plan. We garden and harvest what we can and buy seasonal fruits and vegetables locally.
Peanut Brittle was the first to catch on, followed by jams, jellies, salsas and this year, assorted popcorns. We also specialize in homemade breads in both mini and full size loaves.
My daughter (Larry's step), Cathy, takes orders for delicious cookies, cupcakes and cakes. She uses her Godmother's (Deb Haslinger) cake recipe. The cookie recipe was shared with me from my Aunt Madonna Mathews.
The rest of our blended family (Dominic, Zach, Blake, Cortney, Paul, Jeremy, Rachel, Alayna, Shawn, Rebecca, Morgan, Emily, Ryan, Lindsay, Jaxon and Luc) serve important roles in research and development (taste testers with brutally honest reviews LOL)
Many of our recipes are passed down through the generations or shared by family and friends. When we use those recipes we honor the provider by naming the product after them.
Choosing a name was a challenge and we have 'tried on' a few. Eventually the business named itself, as when asked what we sell, the answer always started with - you guessed it - "a little of this and a little of that".
Our long time goal is to supplement our retirement income - such as it is - when that day arrives
It's a labor of love for both of us. I love to cook and Larry loves me (especially when I am happy in the kitchen LOL) and of course, the family loves to eat!
