TJ Graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry at Santa Clara University in 1984. Upon graduation, he was a U.S. Naval Officer and qualified Submarine Officer for 8 years. In 1995 TJ graduated from Lewis and Clark’s Northwestern School of Law in Portland, Oregon.
The first 12 years of TJ's career were spent as a Deputy District Attorney from 1995 through 2007 where he successfully prosecuted a wide variety of criminal cases, including; Measure 11 cases, murder cases, sexual abuse cases, DUIIs, and drug cases.

TODAY
TJ currently lives and works in beautiful Bend, Oregon with his wife and three children. In 2016 he opened his private practice, TJ Spear Law.
