Thompson Distributing is a wholesale wine and water operation located in Butte, Montana.
We feature wines from all over the world that are not typically found in other areas of the state along with Big Spring Water from the source in Lewistown, Montana.
Thompson Distributing has been a family owned Beverage Wholesaler since 1976.
Jim and Margie Thompson started the business as one of the original 11 Coors Wholesalers in the state of Montana.
In 1977, Thompson Distributing purchased the rights to the Anheuser-Busch franchise for Butte.
Scott and Mark Thompson purchased the family business from their parents in 2005, beginning a new era for the company
which included the addition of Non-alcohol and Wine products to the portfolio.
Both the beer and non-alcohol portions of the business have since been sold to other wholesalers, and Mark Thompson is no
longer part of the company.
The company today is owned by Scott and Mary Thompson and is focused on Wine and Water.
Both Josh Thompson and Ryan Thompson(Scott and Mary's sons) are part of the current operation as well.
