Miss Gregg was extremely informative, detailed and professional. She helped lessen my stress and anxiety. I will always be grateful to the clerical staff for their tolerance with our family challenges. Funeral Director's Terry and Audrey were essential in assisting me in by following every detail of our Mothers Celebration of life just as she had requested. It was a beautiful and heartfelt Funeral.
My mom passed away June 30, 2023 and I’m so glad our family reached out to Thompson Funeral Home during this difficult time for us. Gregg Turner and Daniel Moore took very good care of us during family night and at the church for her funeral in the church and at graveside. They were very compassionate and caring and met all our needs. I definitely recommend Thompson Funeral Home if you have a passing of a love one in your life they will take care of you. Thank you Gregg & Daniel and the staff for making our difficult time easier to face during this difficult time for us. Thanks again, Candi Steen
Have not had the fullest of services yet because my aunt just passed yesterday but The lady and gentleman that showed up to pick her up showed up yesterday to pick her up. The respect and kindness they showed to my aunts body was so compassionate. The lady removed her jewelry and talked to my aunt, straightened her hair told my aunt you can't meet Jesus looking like that. She explained to her that she had to take her jewelry for safe keeping. She then took a blanket quilt and covered her up Told my aunt she wouldn't be cold. To me this was beyond compassionate and kind. My aunt left here in good hands. Thank you for sending 2 very kind people here. Her name was Robin and I think she said the gentleman was her husband. Thank you.
If I could give 1000 stars I would, all of them accounted for and well-deserved. Every single person I encountered at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Lexington, from the initial phone call after my 90 year old mother passed to the last of the employees who graciously accepted a hug after her service, made me realize that in an age of corporate-owned, profit first culture, they still hold dear to what matters most - respectful, compassionate, professional service, especially when we need it most. Our Funeral Director Terry Hunter not only provided the absolute best guidance through it all, he made me feel like he was with me every step of the way. He coordinated the most beautiful service for mom, never waivering from our need to “not blow mom’s money”, down to the final detail of what I considered the most painful challenge of all - finding someone willing to stand with the family, to honor her a homebound senior who loved church TV but no church to call home, and lead us in prayer as we said goodbye. Tim O’Connell was that man and it couldn’t have been a more perfect choice. I believe in God winks and we now consider him the ultimate wink of all!
Took 4 1/2+ hours to arrange funeral. The Staff person assigned was very unorganized & didn't seem knowledgeable about process. Wrong casket was ordered & we did know this until day of funeral. Employee took no responsibility. Very poor experience at a most upsetting time, we were immensely disappointed.
My life will never be the same since losing Don. Blake and the staff at Thompson provided excellent service in ensuring the service was professional and meaningful. Thompson staff, drivers and Blake went over and beyond with interment at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery and our additional memorial at McEntire AFB for spreading of the ashes.
This is posted by McCade’s dad: “I’ve had the benefit of using Thompson Funeral Home twice now - for my father’s visitation and indoor memorial service as well as my mother’s graveside service. We were so fortunate that my parents selected Thompson. Everything went smoothly. They took the stress out of it and made it easy. I highly recommend Thompson.
Thompson Funeral Home did a great job helping my family work its way through the death experience. They are also good about following up afterwards.
When you lose a loved one, you want a compassionate, empathetic & helpful person at the funeral home you select. The funeral director assigned to my dad’s service, Timothy Brand was that person. He made sure our family received information timely & accurately. He went, in our opinion, above expectations, making my dad’s celebration ceremony a beautiful event. Thank you Thompson Funeral Homes of Lexington for your professionalism, warm welcomes every time we came through the doors or made contact by telephone & for having great staff such as Timothy. I highly recommend your funeral to anyone.
Tim Brand was amazing and would suggest you contact him . He is compassionate and knowledgeable and wonderful to work with during a difficult time for our family .
