Thorson Dentistry For Kids

Both of my children and both of my sisters have their kids going here after I told them how great Dr. Thorson was a couple years back. Her staff is always so nice to the kids and family, and you don't ever feel like you're in a negative environment. My son WAS terrified of his previous dentist, but here both of my kids are excited when they get to go. But the best thing about this office is that after any procedure i.e in office fillings Dr. Thorson personally calls you to check on your child. I would recommend this office to anyone.

Do not take your children here if they’re autistic/ADHD. My child was rough handled by the dental assistants, they gaslighted her, she had a full blown panic attack and they were visibly and verbally expressive at how annoyed and impatient they were with her. She is absolutely traumatized. They have the most disgusting attitudes, they don’t belong around children.

There is no other place I would want my kids teeth taken care of other then Thorson's dentistry for kids!! My kids had their semiannual cleaning and wellness visit about a month ago, and it was a fantastic experience as usual. We couldn't have had a better experience. 5 stars is a must, but unfortunately this time 4 stars is what will be given. I was promised my sons grey tooth would fall out by the end of 2022, and here we are, in 2023, and that grey tooth is clinging onto his gums like my ex-girlfriend did in college after we broke up. The tooth and her both need to let go and move on!

I love this entire staff everyone is great! They have a smooth system going, I love the teamwork and atmosphere is amazing. Dr. Thorson’s truly phenomenal. My son did not want to leave her. She had a little extra time & walk us outdoors! It warmed my heart. Thank you everyone! It was a great experience for my son from the moment we entered. <3

I was referred by my sister! Id drive from Gonzales to Destrehan any day for the service I receive here! The staff are very kind and professional! And let me tell you Dr Thorson is the best! I absolutely love this place and my LO does too! Also, to add icing to the cake Dr Thorson calls to check on the pt after the visit! Such a relief to find a dentist that actually cares!!

My kid is one of those who hates any type of clinic visit. He had two cavities that needed to be taken care of. He didn’t even flinch!! The entire staff did wonderfully, and kept him distracted to where he didn’t even notice the needle. Dr. Thorson is amazing!! Only thing, she tried dancing. Let’s just say she’s a way better dentist.

I drove from Houma to bring my 3 year old to see Dr. Amanda Begue for a second opinion! From the first visit I felt a sense of relief! She and her staff were so kind and caring! Our next visit was treatment which I was nervous about! I could never have asked for a better turnout. Everything went better than I could have asked for! They are experts when it comes to providing care for children! We will now take the drive to see her regularly! Highly recommend!

The staff is prejudice and Dr Thorson support what they say and do...I waited four months for an appointment only to be kicked out at the appointment because the girl behind the desk said I cursed her out... which I didn't do...I should have...but this place is so prejudice!!!

Yesterday, I brought my 2 year old to the dentist for the first time, we were both nervous! I can’t say enough about the staff, they were all so sweet and patient with my anxious and scared little one! They went above and beyond to provide amazing care in addition to entertaining my little one’s concerns! We will definitely continue to go here and I highly recommend them to others!

My family first met Dr Thorson before opening her practice. It was super exciting when she opened her practice in our home town . When I've had concerns, they've always been met with professionalism. When my daughter had an emergency, Dr Thorson went beyond to make sure she was okay. The office is a fun and happy atmosphere. The wait time is never an issue. My children always look forward to their next appointment.
