I had no problems. Great shuttle bus from the airport , I was seen to quickly. Slight issues trying to leave and they hadn't processed our car properly.  I was able to use my debit card on the convertible.   Return process was very quick.  All in all a great service and good value if booked in advance.

We rented a car from here and the car pick up experience was horrendous. Only one agent and the line was pretty long. It took us 2+ hours to get to the agent. Return was super easy and breezy.

Am going to make this simple before getting  there make sure  you eat or bring a snack or 2 or 3 snacks , feed and walk your dog , go in use the bathroom  then get in the  line  once you get there  wait, wait, wait, wait to get in then wait, wait, wait a little bit to go to the next line to wait a tiny bit longer ,get your keys and smile because you followed  my instructions at the top now get your things  in the car and have a wonderful vacation. The place is clean. There are soda machines and picnic style  sitting and an area for smoking. dont be shy. Say  hello to the friendly workers as they pass by. They are short staff as most establishments  are around the country, so if you or anyone  you know is looking  for a job, apply or let them know so in the future the wait times will be cut down. If you like my review, give me a thumbs   up, and feel free to follow .

Easy booking. Fair price. Queue to collect took well over an hour but dropping off took literally minutes so swings and roundabouts. Got stung on "premium road cover" without being told so charged an extra £98 at end of rental which I thought was cheeky. Didn't need this as I'd taken out additional insurance 3rd party. Double check your receipt on collection as server didn't tell us about additional charges.  Edit: after many emails back and forth, it's clear this company are happy to lie to their customers and take advantage, so changed to a 1. Avoid. Do not use.

Pros: 5 min from airport. Shuttle service 24/7. Service is ok. Cons: Hit or miss with people waiting. Not enough seating to rest. Low staff. No automated check-in. Shared location with other rental companies. Overall: Fine.

Unfortunately all prior comments are correct insofar that the wait and line is endless, hours and hours! In addition to that, the agents seem to prefer to chat with security and their colleagues while watching the line getting longer instead of efficiently processing the poor customers who are coming off of 12+ hours intercontinental flights….

If you make the mistake of renting here, be prepared to wait 2+ hours to get to the front of the line to check in only to wait another 2+ hours on your car that you reserved.  Will never ever rent a car from Thrifty again.  There were hundreds of people waiting in line and only 2-3 employees working the counter.  Alvin, one employee would help one person, then take a 15 min break.  Like nothing I have ever experienced.

I just want to share my bad experience in thrifty car rental in LA. Been here 4 hours and the customer support is not really helpful. Not all just the one employee we encounter. The line is huge and you’re gonna be waiting for 3-4 hours long. Even you booked your flight in expedia. Very exhausting experience in a car rental

Great rates and nice cars, but the wait is simply ridiculous!  There were about 30 people ahead of me with 2 employees working as fast as molasses!! It took 2 hours and 30 minutes just to get tot the front of the line!! I would have been better off walking!!

Do NOT rent car from Thrifty-Dollar at LAX!This is the worst can rental place I've ever been to, and I've been renting cars from a lot of places. I've waited in line for two hours before I even reach the counter, and it'll take another TWO hours to get the key to the car! It's insane! It'll take more than 4 hour for me to get my car today, and I'll never rent from this place again. I'll give it a negative 5 star if I could!
