The atmosphere is wonderfully cozy. The wait staff was amazing, friendly and attentive. I ordered the glazed salmon with gnocchi. The salmon was cooked perfectly, not overdone. The glaze had very good flavor and wasn't too sweet - again, perfect. Being in Central Wisconsin and having salmon this good, I am very impressed. My Bourbon Manhattan was delightful and paired nicely with the salmon. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

We went together for a work trip. Atmosphere was great, food was fantastic. I'm not a huge beer fan but they had a big variety and my group all enjoyed there choices. The cheese curds were very good. I had the shrimp creole and the portion was very generous and it was excellent. Definitely would go often if I lived in the area.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No

The food was excellent, even the Friday fish fry. The fish was lightly breaded and lightly fried, but nicely crisp. The fries were very good, like steak fries but curled and crisp enough. Tartar sauce was so-so. The red pepper soup was very good. Not a very big menu but adequate. Like everyone, they were short on wait staff and our server was trying to keep up. We just have to have patience with them! They have a tough job right now.

Wow! What happened to this place? Thrive used to be one of our favorite restaurants in Wausau. Our experience yesterday was disappointing at best. The large maple pork chop is now 2 thin, dry, flavorless, and burnt pork chops. The potato mash that comes with it tasted like wall paper paste. My fish consisted of several thin pieces which were also flavorless. And then there were the drinks. The Brandy Old Fashion was smaller in size and larger in price at $7.50. We used to like the atmosphere and food at Thrive, but we will not be returning! For a decent quality meal and good service, go to Great Dane instead.

Unique table seating at the bar. Cushions on the window ledge for people to wait for seating. Very interesting decor throughout the whole building. The food was great and came in a timely fashion. My only complaint is the freezing cold bathroom!?

OMG so good I am allergic to shrimp so I asked them to make the shrimp creole without shrimp and the did not bat an eye . Truly great food great staff I will be back

The food was good, the price and service was not. It was very slow and there were only three other tables. I was unable to get a refill of water and we had to ask for napkins. The building was nice and it was easy to get to from the highway. If the price was $3-4 cheaper it would have been a 4-5 Star review depending on service.
