Founded by Rick and Arlene Tidd in 1981, Tidd Funeral Home offers a tradition of a local family serving other local families. With a solid reputation for family values, the Tidd family makes it a priority to serve this community with care and compassion.

For over 25 years, Tidd Funeral Home has been serving the community with loyalty and integrity.

In February of 2008, we welcomed the Porter-Tidd Funeral Home into the Tidd Funeral Service family. This establishment has been serving Mt. Sterling, Ohio and the surrounding community for 40 years.

Its tradition of quality and caring service is a great match for our own high standards and long experience. Both the Tidd and Porter families are proud to be a vital part of the Mt. Sterling community.

I know tidds all my life. Tidds bried all of my family. He will work with you on the cost of the funeral i will never go anywhere else. I will always go to tidds for a funeral and I will let any body know to go to tidds funeral home.
Was in a funeral procession from Tidd Funeral Home to Kingwood Memorial and was led on freeway. There was only one patrol car up front. I thought there should have been more along side and rear. Was cut off numerous times honked at and nearly in an accident at a roundabout from someone not yielding. Should have taken a safer route or more patrol to control traffic.
My aunt passed away this April. She basically raised me and was my pillar for my entire life. I thought they were great during the planning, we talked through everything and what we expected to do. We had a basic showing and visitation service at the funeral home. I requested her fingerprints during the initial scheduling so we could make some jewelry to remember her by. I was assured each person they held a service for was finger printed. After almost 2 months of emailing and calling the funeral home with no response, I received a rather insensitive email from the director stating that they had no fingerprints for her. That was the only correspondence I received despite multiple contact attempts. To say I am heartbroken and disappointed is an understatement. While I will always have her memory, they took my chance at a "Forever Keepsake" with no explanation. I would suggest you get EVERYTHING in writing and make yourself clear multiple times. It didn't help my case but I hope knowing this, that some other family is spared the heartbreak mine is feeling. No one should be neglected this way after losing a loved one.
In dealing with the unexpected passing of my brother, Randy and the Tidd family were who we relied on to handle my brothers final arrangements. Professional, kind, respectful and efficient all describe Randy. I would recommend Tidd Family Funeral Home to handle the final arragements of your loved ones too.
You are all so amazing and caring. I can’t believe how much you helped us with everything in our time of need. You went above and beyond with everything plus some. You made everything so easy so we could mourn our loved one without stress. I will be forever grateful.

Great staff and fabulous service. The circumstances for using their services are never great but they do a great job taking care of the hard stuff.
Outstanding. Terry was very helpful guiding me through the process and taking care of issues as they arose. I couldn't have ask for a single thing more of them.
