I must say we received excellent care while in Tift Regional ICU. God put the right people in the right place at the right time! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for all that you did! My daughter still talks about you all...the ones she remembers lol. She is so blessed to still be here! She has definitely came a long way. Keep being great! She didn't enjoy the general surgery floor plus that room was spooky and depressing looking out at a rooftop.
I feel I am well quailifed to give an objective review, since I am cath lab nurse of 10 years. I can read between the lines. My husband, with severe pain, and an abcessed tooth, decided, much to my chagrin, not to seek treament at an oral surgeons office. I told him he had to go to the ED instead, because i believed he needed some IV antibiotics while we searched for another oral surgeon. Once we got back past the waiting room, we had a great experience at the ED. Dr Aina was great. He made quick decisions, gave appropriate care, and was super personable. He did a great job, and this crusty old nurse was pleased with him. 10/10 would recommend. Gracie, the nurse caring for my husband, was phenomenal. She came in with the confidence and a personality that would lead me to believe she had years of experience. I watched her technique in providing care and administering medications and have zero complaints. Fantastic nurse. She is thoughtful and cared about my husband's comfort. If I were a nurse manager, I would steal her away in a second. She is an asset to Tift Regional. The bad. The wait. I know the hospital was probably full, and you were probably holding beds, just from the amount of cars still in the lot at 0230 when we were discharged. But have you considered having a fast track department in the ED? We were in the waiting room for exactly 5 hours. My husband could have probably received care at an urgent care. But he wouldnt have been able to have a CT, and frankly, i am not impressed with the urgent care offerings in this town, considering one in town sent my husband home with a food poisoning diagnosis and it was actually diverticulitis a bowel perf. Yes, I know about acuity and triage, I was impressed with the guy who came in with tachycardia being whisked back immediately I eavesdropped on his family. But there really needs to be a solution to this problem of less acute patients waiting hours and hours. I can be patient, because I understand the process, but from the looks of your reviews, the citizens of Tifton do not.
Just spent 3 hours in the ER without being seen, in several pain from my gallbladder, left there and drove to another hospital where my symptoms were started as an emergency. Tift Regional/Southwell has the worst ER in the state of Ga!!! Just horrible!
I have not had the best experiences with this hospital in the past however when my mom passed on 7.10.23 the icu nurses were amazing one of the nurses names was Kristin and I'm not sure of the young gentleman's name but my mom was in 4713 and that young man went above and beyond his job duties that night and as she passed he never left our side you could truly see the care in his eyes. Good, passionate, hard working people are hard to find this young man touched my heart and I'll never forget it thank you
This place is horrible. I HIGHLY recommend you go to “ SOUTHERN REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER/ MOULTRIE GA. I came here to get an x-ray for my son 2 years old and I was waiting for hours to be seen to the point where we eventually left. We asked for the wait time and what was taking so long and she replied “ I don’t know” and had a nasty attitude front desk. If I could give this place zero stars I would. We just left and will be contacting my sons pediatrician in the morning I know then we would have better taken care of him then this place would! I’m highly upset right now! Never will I ever again come to this place. DO BETTER BECAUSE THIS IS NOT WHY WE CAME TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM. Not to mention a woman brought her daughter here due to fever and she had been waiting in the waiting area for 4 hours and still hadn't seen a doctor! Another guy was telling my husband they had been there waiting for 6 hours to be seen and still hasn’t which is very ridiculous! The whole time we were there not one person was brought back to be seen.
We went to the ER on Friday morning july28, 2023 we got him there at 10:18 in the morning we sat there all day, my husband in pain with broken foot, needless to say Troy Taylor is the best! But there is no reason to have only one Dr in the ER they put a half cast on him, showed us where it was broken at, the nurse was very nice and trying her best to get things moving. The ER has become a Drs office for the Mexicans that don’t want to pay for insurance, we are made to have insurance and we go to the Drs office for medical care and they should be made to do the same, they have more money than we do, I’m not being racist by no means, but they need to find drs to see for Drs care not the ER. This was the worst service we have ever received, no one came and checked on my husband the whole time he sat there, another woman setting there crying in pain. This was uncalled for! This was the worse experience we have ever received.we will consider a different hospital if we need such services again. This was ridiculous for all patients, there needs to be more than one dr in that ER, I know you have orthopedics on call, and there should have been one checking my husband out. I won’t recommend this hospital ER to anyone!
Very displeased so far. Nurses and techs are not providing even basic care. It’s absolutely not okay to leave someone flat on their back 24 hours a day. No offer of a face wash or to hand a toothbrush to the patient yesterday or this morning. Obviously no bath or linen change. Stool softener was held by the nurse because in her words, “you don’t want to get on a bedpan before surgery because that’ll hurt.” Well we don’t know when surgery is but we sure know that not having a BM can result in some pre serious GI issues. I can’t even begin to tell you how sad I am with this care. Please help. Only has gotten worse since I tried to talk to the manager, Matt. Matt made a lot of excuses and nothing changed. Medications were hanging and not running. Told me that a low air loss mattress turns patients for them and they do not have to physically turn them. Still same dirty linens. No stool softener given. Still no BM. Not managing post-op pain appropriately. The nurses changed hands mid shift and the new nurse Robin never showed her face for the 4 hours I sat waiting. Nurse did not come to help transfer a brand new post op from chair to bed. Food was cold and just laid out in front of patient with no attempts to cut it for him. STILL NO BRUSHING OF TEETH. I would love to talk to someone about my concerns but that seems impossible as I can’t find an email address or a phone number of anyone about Matt.
Tift Regional Medical Center is my first choice in this area. I have had great experiences there as far as service. The only drawback is that they don’t accept my current insurance. Maybe that will change at some point. Great doctors and nurses. Pleasant and professional staff. I don’t hesitate to recommend them.
Billing department/financial assistance are not helpful, lie, and call to harass you. I found so many billing errors. Told us they would adjust it by 13% and didn't. Now they're using it as a bargaining chip to say they'll only adjust it if we pay it full... yeah no thank you. We want to take care of it but insurance had already paid THOUSANDS and they still want to squeeze us dry when we can't pay the amount they want.
This is unreal. I brought my 5 year old to the hospital because he drank pine-sol and they r treating us horribly. We waited 30 minutes before we could even go to triage then the nurse sent us back to the front and say that if he’s not vomiting there is nothing they can do now but wait until after 10 people are seen before they can see him. Tifton regional medical center treats black people differently than the rest. The nurses and doctors does not care people.
