Therefore, it was not surprising when Tim made the decision to expand his marketing capabilities, become a realtor, and join the #1 broker in the #1 office in St. Louis - Coldwell Banker Gundaker Town & Country.
“I love real estate. It’s in my DNA. I have been involved in it my entire professional life, and I felt this was a natural extension of my business and experience. And one of the main things my 30+ years of experience has taught me is, by far, branding and marketing are the great differentiators. Anyone can put a sign in the yard, but the question today’s sellers need to ask their prospective agent is: What is your marketing strategy?,” said Tim. “You need to be totally satisfied with their answer. Most importantly, you should do your own homework to see if the agent actually does what they say they do and can demonstrate it. It’s the only way to get everything you’re asking for. If you’re unsure, by all means, interview someone else. As you can imagine, most relationships of this nature don’t improve over time.”
Back In 1987, Tim got his start at J.L. Mason of Missouri, the parent company of Mason Homes, which at the time was Missouri’s Largest Homebuilder. Jack Boggan, his former college professor, came calling and Tim didn’t hesitate, because landing your first job in marketing back then was no easy task. About a year later, he left Mason Homes to again pair up with his former teacher who has started Boggan Advertising, an agency specializing in homebuilder advertising. Then in 1990, Tim founded 681 Group and continued working with scores building industry leaders, in addition to, many other businesses. The company is set to celebrate its 28th year in 2017. “I’m excited to be a realtor. I’m excited to be able to work in an industry where just about anyone and everyone can be your client. And I am so excited to be able to work one-on-one with families every step of the way - to achieve their American Dream,” said Tim. “I guess it’s easy to tell how passionate I am about this business.”
