We totally enjoyed our stay at Timber Trail Campground. Our RV camping spot was more than adequate, well maintained and the staff there was friendly and helpful. Our firewood was delivered to us and we received a generous supply. We wanted to spend a couple days in Door County and this place served as an excellent location for driving each day to the various sites and sights...a gateway to Door County. We would camp here again in a heartbeat. Here are a couple sunset photos and an attempt at a starry night photo.
I was pleasantly surprised. We tent camped and they had some fairly nice rustic spots Available. Not often you get that in a place that caters mostly to campers and RVs. Access to Anapee trail was great also.
We camped one night at Timber Trail. It is conveniently located near the Ahnapee State Trailhead and a short distance to Algoma by bicycle. The campground was very clean, the site was large and the hosts were friendly, they delivered wood and ice to our site. Our tent site was totally shaded among the beautiful cedar trees and in the morning we could hear the Sandhill Cranes flying over. There were a lot of families with children and apparently several permanent campers.
We camped at a rustic campsite #69. We had a screened canopy and a 2 person tent. It was wonderful! The shower/bathroom facilities are clean. I love how the firewood was delivered. Such a friendly and clean campground. We REALLY enjoyed trying out the jumping pillow and we are adults. It was $30 a night and we ended up not making reservations prior. The location is very close to Door County and Green Bay. A wonderful trip! Thanks Jen and Eddie!
Always like coming to Timber Trails campground, met one of the new owners this time Eddy, seems like such a nice person, very accommodating I had to switch the date a bit and he made it possible. The campground in a whole is well maintained, everyone that goes there sure seem to enjoy their stay. Hope we can come back next year!
Good place to do camping.Rooms: 5/5
Mosquito, mosquito, mosquito. Please use bug spray. The campground is a little hard to navigate as the pathways are a bit narrow. There's a lot of children running around as well so be mindful of pedestrians. The tent sites had plenty of privacy and it's good to pay online ahead of time and then check in at the front office at the entrance of the campgrounds opposite the swimming pool. They sell ice cream there. There seems to be a lot of long term campers at this place.
Timber Trail Camp Ground is an amazing place. I've been coming for the past 8 years and it never gets old. The new owners Eddie and Jen are very friendly and fair. Camp ground was clean and very well kept up. Keep up the good work and see you again next year.
Such a wonderful park! We stayed here during our first visit to WI and it was a great place to explore Door County from as well as enjoying Algoma. The owners are so good-natured and hard working, it was always a pleasure running into them throughout the park. The sunsets from our site were amazing.
Super good customer service, especially for a one-night stay. Very welcoming. Rustic sites were a bit sloped for tents, but we've seen worse. Bathrooms were very clean. We would have used more of the campground's considerable amenities inground swimming pool, camp store, rec room, laundry room, etc if we'd have stayed longer. The campground is right next to the Ahnapee State Trail/Ice Age Trail for long-distance biking or backpacking. Reasonable prices. Thanks for a good experience!
