We had a 6 :00 reservation granted we were just a few minutes late with 2 kids one 3 and the other 5 months quite a walk to the front door. They had great live music which was outstanding because the hostess told us we would have to wait. It was about a fifteen minute wait even with reservations. Now the food was amazing , and that was why we were there anyway, service was very slow, I guess in the mountains people like have a slower pace but with children every second counts. I was very delighted there were several families eating that night with small children. I did overhear apologies to other tables about the wait and forgetting some of their orders.
Quaint hotel restaurant but overpriced for the level of quality and service. During our stay we visited the restaurant for dinner and then again got takeout breakfast before hitting the road. For dinner, we got the butternut squash soup, winter beet salad, salmon and shrimp & grits. The portion sizes were generous. We enjoyed the salad as well the shrimp and grits. The soup was over sweetened and the salmon was over cooked. For breakfast we ordered some eggs, pancakes and a few sides. The takeout breakfast took almost twice as long as quoted. We were also disappointed that it was missing a number of the sides we ordered and the avocado was very brown.
We've been coming to Chetola for years at Christmas to see the Christmas lights. Decided to surprise my 97 yr old Aunt with a nice dinner too this year. I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but we had the most lovely experience! The atmosphere is so cozy and beautiful loved the live entertainment, we were sat directly when we arrived, our server was attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious. The brussel sprouts appetizer was a huge portion and so tasty! The cornbread and apple butter was heavenly. We all enjoyed our meal, portions, and the ambiance. 4 stars as it is a little pricey and the accessibility could be improved. Walk from handicap spot to restaurant is a bit of a trek and includes a stretch of uneven patio too. Bathroom is on far-side of restaurant. A memory we won't forget!
Classy, high quality dining. Best Chilean Sea Bass I've ever had. Good drink selection. Many menu items I'm looking forward to on future visits.
Excellent food on the grounds of the Chetola Resort. It can be a bit crowded so make a reservation and expect service to take a bit.
We ate here multiple times during our stay, and the food was excellent. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable.Food: 5/5
I am not sure what is going on at this restaurant but I would highly recommend avoiding it. We went on a Saturday night and they were out of most of their wines and the food was not great. There was a wedding going on and I am wondering if somehow this influenced our bad experience. We ordered the tomahawk steak, medium rare and it came out with very little pink and was quite chewy. The market price was $150!! We were warned of the price but assured it would be fantastic. Sadly it was not. Our waiter seemed nice but the food was subpar for the price. Someone in our party sent something back and was given a replacement that also seemed poorly prepared. The next day she complained her stomach wasn’t feeling great and was pretty sure it was from her meal the night before. I am hoping this was an off night for them but we will not be returning and I want to warn others of our experience.
We have come to Timberlake for many years for lunch but will probably not return due to major changes in the lunch menu. The new lunch menu just does not have, in our opinion, a good selection. Very unhappy in the brisket burger….it tasted like a frozen patty. The service was excellent. The Salad and french fries excellent!! The outdoor patio is beautiful.
Timberlake's is in a resort-like plot of land that is absolutely beautiful. The menu has fresh, delicious ingredients that are perfectly prepared. They came up with creations I've never heard of that made my night. The service is also excellent!
This venue is GORGEOUS! Lovely drive up, and a beautiful, sprawling building with layers and rich, warm decor. The food was just okay. The Short Rib & Bleu Cheese Flatbread was the highlight of the meal. The ratatouille pasta was dissapointingly bland. The margarita cocktails we had were laughably bad. We ordered 3, and no one finished even half of theirs. Staff unfortunately didn't even acknowledge this, nor ask whether we enjoyed them or not. Otherwise, staff was engaging, if not extremely slow. At the end of the meal, they thanked us, and apologized that they were slow, as they are short-staffed. In reading other reviews, it seems that "being short-staffed" has been a crutch of Timberlake's for several years now. I understand staffing is a problem all over the country presently, but I am of the belief you should change your operational approach if it is continually detracting from the customer experience. Gorgeously charming venue, meh food and cocktail, over encumbered staff.
