I really love Timberland boots but have always found the expensive price tag to be the sole reason why I would never invest in a pair. I had an opportunity to go the outlet and see if I could get some deals on some of my favorite brands and I was absolutely ecstatic that Timberland was among one of the stores at the Camarillo Outlets. I decided to go take a look and see if there were any sales that I could possibly use and invest in my own pair of Timbs. I ended up finding my favorite pair which are the 6" Classic boots and I was thrilled when I found out they were $80 cheaper than the retail price of all the websites I had seen that sold those boots orig: $190, outlet: $110. Because I lived pretty far away from the outlet a wise trick that outlets use to lure potential bargainers to, I decided I needed to get them since I wouldn't find that price anywhere else. I bought the pair of boots the lady who helped me could learn a thing or two about good customer service and went home happily. However, looking and admiring my new pair of Timberlands, I found out that one of the boots was not like the other boot in terms of quality. The right boot was poorly stitched and the material was roughly cut, compared to the other. In the back of the right boot, it was extremely messy and looked tacky. In normal sight, the boots look almost normal and stylish. But close up, it was unevenly cut and had a noticeable scuff mark on the side of the left shoe. The laces also seemed very cheap and stiff which made it hard to lace and tie the boots. I wish I wasn't in a hurry and paid closer attention when I bought these boots because what they say is true. You get what you pay for. So of course, the quality of the outlet good is not comparable to a normal retail pair of boots because the quality is compromised when the price is. I really do enjoy these boots, they feel good and look okay from a distance but sad to say, I was super disappointed when I found out the intricate details and material cut wasn't satisfactory. I would buy it again but I would DEFINITELY take time to meticulously examine the shoe before buying because I believe it's final sale as well.
They have a pretty decent selection of clothes and shoes. The staff is always quick to help if you need it. I've made purchases here many times and never had any complaints. There have been a couple occasions where the sale prices aren't in the system, so you have to check your receipt carefully though.
We had a problem with one the products and decided to try and ask for replacement. Although we didn’t have our receipt, Jill the manager kindly honored us. It was a great customer service. Thank you so much Jill.
Great customer service, unfortunately don't have a great selection of women's steel toe shoes for boots.
The store has nice merchandise. But they do not carry enough wide size shoes for men.
Last week I drove over 40 miles for a simple exchange. I received 2 pairs of black boots as a Christmas gifts. I decided I wanted to change the boot color and instead of returning for refund and waiting for my son to receive a credit for me to repurchase I confidently went to the outlet store as instructed by online website… you can return/ exchange for purchase value without a receipt. I get to the store ask for exchange and was told that without a receipt they could not accept my exchange because they don’t know if we purchased elsewhere… I told the floor supervisor multiple times they were in fact purchased online and my son more then likely would not have receipt or quick access to it. She moved to say well you could have purchased from another outlet store or a store that carries that style but since you do not have receipt and we don’t have that style we can’t help you. While I completely understand her reasoning it is not the Timberland return/ exchange policy disclosed online. I kindly asked to please consider the fact that we just drove 40 miles for this exchange, the store floor supervisor Maribel store # 156 was unconcerned nor was she empathetic of the situation. She said no and walked away. Again I asked her there is nothing else you can do as she walked away… I’m most certain that as large of an organization as Timberland is they can scan, punch in a serial number or item number to confirm where the shoes were purchased online but she chose not to go out of her way… This experience left a horrible feeling…made me feel like a lair… like I was asking for something wrong… I went to my car in disbelief on how their so called management poorly handled the situation, while I know it was the end of the day, and with Covid stores are short staffed and overwhelmed… but as a paying consumer staff should also understand that I made a special trip to this outlet for one reason only to exchange my gift from my son. I too took the risk of leaving my home and drove over 40 miles to be turned away. My recommendation is to train your staff on customer service including how to be empathetic to their customers needs. I was not asking for a discount or free product I simply wanted to exchange my $130 boots for a pair I could wear… and continue to uplift your brand by wearing your products. Signed, Unhappy Customer

The manager named Marco was mean with my mom and had lots of attitude with her when she asked about floor sample shoes. She asked if they would give her a discount since they we used as the try on sample and were the only ones left in stock. I’m writing this review on my mother’s behalf. She is a very kind and patient women who is never confrontational. So her asking me to write a negative review means that this interaction really upset her. My parents are a long time customer since my father and brother are construction workers. I hope that the manager is giving a reminder to please be kind and mindful of others.
This review is for the Hispanic lady working there who was extremely rude when I asked for a student discount. My USC ID only has a start date but instead of verifying it she simply said no and didn’t even allow me to explain. Well maybe USC students should just avoid this place!
Shopping here for my son's back to school needs and better yet I scored myself a great pair of boots in the back clearance section. 70% off and since mine were a second pair I got 50% off that price . I got a $130.00 pair of boots for $19.50 Can't beat that!!
