Massage for relaxation yet therapeutic.
Welcome!
I offer the following services:
Swedish Massage... designed to energize the body by manipulating circulation for relaxation.
Amma Practitioner...Amma is known as the ancient ancestor of all the Asian hand-healing therapies that work to treat the energy system. “Amma” is basically a Japanese word for massage. Traditional amma was not just a massage completed for relaxation, but also as a medical therapy involving diagnosis. The therapist would use not only the hands but also fingers, thumbs, elbows, and forearms to manipulate the body tissues. Finger pressure is then applies to the fourteen major energy channels found in the body. There are 364 pressure points. The goal of the therapy is to remove any energy blocks found in the body and promote optimal health. Blocked energy paths are believed to be the cause of any physical problems of the body, so the production of good energy flow is important for healthy living.
Prenatal Massage...prepares the body for an easier delivery and releases strain on weight bearing joints.
Postpartum Massage... returns body to proper structual alignment, promotes rapid healing, eliminates old pregnancy hormones, and reduces post-partum blues.
Geriatric Massage... a form of massage designed to meet the specific needs of the elderly population. It involves the use of hands to manipulate the soft tissues of the body to improve blood circulation, relieve pain, and increase range of motion.
Raindrop Technique...
Raindrop technique integrates Vita Flex and massage, utilizing the power of essential oils in brining the body into a structural and electrical alignment. It is based on the theory that many types of scoliosis and spinal misalignments are caused by viruses or bacteria that lie dormant along the spine. These pathogens create inflammation, which in turn, contorts and disfigures the spinal column. Using only therapeutic grade essential oils, these oils are dispensed like little drops of rain from a height of about six inches above the back and massaged along the vertebrae and back muscles. Oils used are: Oregano and Thyme, to help fight viruses Basil and Marjoram, to help with muscle spasms Peppermint and Wintergreen, to help with inflammation Cypress, for circulation and 2 powerful essential oil blends The Raindrop is not a cure all or quick fix but is one powerful tool to help restore balance in the body that will result in good health. Hot stones... Stone Massage Therapy came from the healers using rocks from the river beds and warming them either in hot coals or hot water. By placing the hot stones on cloth on the body and arranging them along the energy centers of the body,(along the spine usually) a healing process would occur. The hot stones have a tendency to relax the muscles and “draw out” muscle pain and discomfort.
