The U.S. National Park Service cares for Timpanogos Cave National Monument, saved by the American people so that all may experience our heritage. The National Park System includes 397 national parks and helps communities preserve their special places.
Timpanogos Cave National Monument sits high in the Wasatch Mountains. The cave system consists of three spectacularly decorated caverns. Helictites and anthodites are just a few of the many dazzling formations to be found in the many chambers. As visitors climb to the cave entrance, on a hike gaining over 1,000 ft in elevation, they are offered incredible views of American Fork Canyon.
To protect the Timpanogos Cave System to assure preservation of natural resources of scientific interest and importance in such manner as serves the public interest; and to conserve the natural and cultural resources of the monument and the cave system and to provide for the public use and enjoyment of the resources by current and future generations.
