Some of the police are very nice, knowledgeable, and friendly, some of them are the polar opposite of that description. Some of them really seem like they don't give a damn about things, but I guess that's everything everywhere today. You experience will vary a lot depending on who you talk to, for certain. I've had everything from 1/10 to 10/10 with the TPD.

The whole department as a whole goes above and beyond the Call of Duty. They've helped me out twice in the last 15 years and things worked out much better than planned.

Friday night, I tried to leave the store and was detoured completely out of the way to 80th ave. They had completely blocked off 191st. There was very minimal traffic also. This was a huge inconvenience, and it seems the blockades cause more trouble then the concert traffic.

Worst ever!!!blocking a one way entrance off of 183rd by Hamada because of a suspicious pick up truck caring Pallets !!! So the one cop is pulled up behind the suspicious vehicle why the other cop is Pulled on an angle so no one can go around. Quickly six or seven cars start piling up behind me why the guy stands there and talks to his fellow officer doesn't try to redirect traffic or anything just stands there and looks at you! Unbelievable!! I finally get out of my car and say can you please clear the way I have somewhere to be and he says to me you need to go in through the exit I reply with...there's about seven cars behind me how do you suppose I do that ?! So he turns away and finishes talking to his fellow officer. Talk about idiots. Don't try to keep people safe..maybe do your job and redirect traffic before a real problem presents its self!

I live 548 miles from my brother who lives in Tinley Park, IL. He was alone and needed a wellness check due to some complications. He fell and it knocked him out. I called them and within 5 minutes they were there helping my brother. He fell and received a very serious gash. The Ambulance took him to the ER. 10 stitches. I commend them. My brother said they were the most kind, easygoing, polite police officers he’d ever met. I personally want to give them all a very genuine Thank You as to the EMTS as well for helping my brother 548 miles away. God Bless you all

If you want a free DUI come to tinley park. Where the police officers don't do a DUI test on a drunk woman and let her go take a UBER home. The police department will be hearing from my lawyer about this situation and officers #1 and #2 know what kind of conversation they will be having with my lawyer. Crook cops. Maybe if we didn't have people like this in the force we wouldn't have senseless killings like McDonalds or even the Zimmerman killing. I would boycott the tinley police department. The's senseless cops tried covering up the truth about the lies they put out. I'm glad I just told all the officers I was voice recordin them and they understood. About the laws they were breaking and after I called one of the cops out in it they walked away from me. What a police officer doing his "duties" the police officer was suppose to be protecting and serving. But he decided with his duck in his as and let the woman go. Gave her a "vision" test and told me there is no sobriety testing. He needed to do. But after I told him about the bottle under the seat he walked firmly away. Nice job officer detective. I hope the force has its true justice for manipulating officers and throw them into the can

Called to ask about how to expunge . Tells me who to call and everything and I say thank you, she says sure, and hangs up. Rude?

Best village in the Southwest suburbs expect the best P.D. around!!
