Working with Tip Top Tux is always such a pleasure! As a wedding photographer, being able to photograph quality menswear makes a huge difference! I loved chatting with Drue and hearing all about their offers and different options. I highly recommend Tip Top Tux for your next suit or tux.
Shout out to Carl and Hector for fixing all the crazy shipping issues from Sioux City. Had a wedding on the east coast and had to get tuxedos drop shipped. The fitting went very smoothly but after that it went down south. A week before the wedding they shipped my suit to my best man, he shipped it back and then it was sent to the place I wanted it but no button on it photos attached. Hector was able to overnight it and have it be correct. Another issue was my brother suit was supposed to be picked up in Sioux City but they shipped it to him. He had to go in and get the other one which was the correct size. Another groomsmen didn't get cufflinks. My best man suit was then shipped to his BILLING address not his shipping so his mother had to carry it onto a plane and pay extra for that. Wedding day comes and turns out my best man has the only bow tie that is a different color. Then when my dad returns the tuxedos they counted 5 blue bowties and my best man tan/white bow tie. They said they would call around and the next day they call my dad saying they found the blue bowtie in my pocket of my suit, mind you I had my phone in there and I would have found that. Great place in Kansas City but if you want to stress the hell out get yourself drop shipped.
Wow. Ruined a lot of people's special day. Paid for all the rentals in April and the suits are done. We just can't pick them up as the store closed inadvertently! Store closes down 6 days prior to a wedding leaving no notice to customers. Shame on this whole operation. Will be filing a credit card claim and hope the fbi investigates whatever money laundering operation was going on here.
Greg was awesome, I came in with a short timeline came back to me with a way to make it work. Super friendly and accommodating and very reasonably priced.
Looking for a tux to rent for prom. We liked the selection of tux's and accessories much better than what we saw at Mens Warehouse. And we would have liked to get our tux from here. However, we decided to go with Jos A Banks because it was so hectic and busy at TTT, the customer service was bad and we were concerned that they would mess up the order details. Might be a decent place to go when it isn't prom season.
Service at initial measurement for two tuxes seemed good. We were promised pickup availability early in the week to ensure no fit issues / but the tuxes weren’t available till late Thursday / Friday. The tuxes had an Awful fit. Pants, vests and jackets that were so oversized they looked as if they fit for a clown costume. Shirts, jackets and pants were raggedy and over worn. One of the jackets wreaked of body odor. The store adjusted length on one pair of pants - otherwise no one at the store seemed concerned with our complaints about fit and quality. Out of desperation we took the tuxes - but never wore them. Instead we spent the next 24 hours begging and borrowing tux components from friends and family. When we returned the tuxes on Sunday and told the staff we were unable to wear them due to quality issues, the staff just grabbed the tuxes, and said Thank You and moved to the next customer. We would not recommend this place and will never ever ever rent here again.
Where do I begin? Our tuxedos had different colored bow ties for our new years wedding with different colors pins between I the groom and my 4 groomsmen. We found this out the morning of the wedding. We had to scramble the morning of the wedding and the guy who I picked up when I called didn’t even have the audacity to apologize for dropping the ball on the big day, nor did he make any attempt to make it right. The only solution offered was “we might have the correct items, I’ll check” with absolutely no follow-up from the store. Thankfully, my dad showed up with his own personal extra bow ties…they also asked for a tip after taking measurements and they still got pant sizes wrong for my best man, by 6 inches mind you. They ended up getting him correctly fitted pants. Unfortunately, tip top tux was the most negligent and unprofessional vendor I interacted with. Maybe go with Jos. A banks, who happens to be in the same shopping center.
As a wedding planner I have lots of experience with formal attire purchases and fittings and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Tip Top Tux! They are responsive, attentive and kind. Look no further for your wedding day suits and tuxes!
Terrible experience, asked for 2 weeks prior to the destination wedding to have e it expedited and I offered to pay and was told the tux would be ready the day before. It wasn’t ready till well after noon the day before the destination wedding. We trusted it was right and while we should have checked the set up it was horribly wrong. They sent gray pants that were a full size small and short and a dress shirt with sleeves clearly made for a toddler. Horrible experience and even worse communication from the store. If I could give this a negative star I would have.
We went in not expecting much, and left knowing this is the place we will be buying from. Selection 9/10, customer service 10/10, prices 10/10. And to think we were going to go choose men's warehouse. We checked this place out on a whim. I wanted to do an update, because they dramatically messed up our order. We decided to try on the outfits a couple of days before the wedding. Half of it didn't fit. We panicked. We called them up, fairly upset but remaining calm. They fixed everything and had it ready the day before the wedding. Just in time. Even though they had messed up the order, they were calm, professional, methodical and fast. I am leaving it as a 5 star, because even though there was mistakes; they owned the mistakes and fixed them professionally. They didn't get defensive or confrontational even once. We had our special day thanks to their hard work.
