If you are looking for a home town restaurant with small town charm this is the place! Our waiter was very sweet and helpful! It was like eating at your Mamaws house! A great breakfast spot! Big ole juicy cheeseburgers! My hubby kept the sweet tea coming! We spoke to a family member that owns it and she said it had been going strong since 1966 with her family! Very sweet place, with a lot of history! Kid-friendliness: My daughter loved all the attention from the waiter and cook. Gave her a sucker for the road!
Stopped in for brunch, had the 2,2,2 breakfast, and it was great as always. Homemade just like mom used to make!!Food: 5/5
Had the BEST breakfast experience at Tipton’s! Delicious food and an amazing staff to boot. Ask Ray for the “secret menu” Reese’s pancakes!Food: 5/5
Tipton's is a classic diner and is open during street reconstruction. I sat at the counter and enjoyed watching the cook prepare food and the listening to the staff interact with locals. It's obvious there is lots of love in this small community! I ordered the cheese burger with tomato, lettuce and mayonnaise, and it was delicious! You also need to try their hash browns with onions and cheese-very tasty!!! They start with a basic frozen hash brown patty, then top it with a slice of American cheese and freshly grilled onions. Amazing! Kid-friendliness: They have donuts!
Small mom and pop style place downtown. Service is friendly. Food didn't come out all together but there were 6 of us and it was tasty. The pancakes and the bacon were really good. It is CASH ONLY.Food: 5/5
Wonderful. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Food was home cooked and delicious. The building has such a history! Great Gem of Greeneville. I highly recommend the hotbuns. We will definitely be back.Food: 5/5
Tipton's was a great find. This is a family run cafe that has been hiding in plain sight for years. The menu was short, but the food was great. Try the bacon cheeseburger, the bacon was thick and savory on a juicy paddy. Don't just go for the food though. Everyone there talked to me like I was local.
Loved the service! Doddle and everyone I spoke too were very sweet from the moment I walked in. Food was served fast and tasted great! Thank you to all the folks at Tipton'sFood: 5/5
Warning!! Cash ONLY! Also, it is open even though you can’t drive down the street since it looks like they’ve totally ripped out the road and are revamping the area. We were a party of 8 and the total bill was only $58, but a couple of people only got one biscuit with gravy. The biscuits and gravy are very very good! Our waitress was very sweet and apologized when some of the orders were not correct. However she did make sure everyone got what they ordered. Because of the mixups she brought out several honey buns on the house. My wife’s and my clothes did smell like food but it’s because it’s a small place. Not a huge issue. We have no problem going back.
Great place for solid diner food, and entertaining service. They use fresh local tomatoes, definitely get the butterfly glazed donuts and honey buns for dessert.Food: 5/5
