This place is ridiculously expensive. The habesha community go to this cafe for their cakes but because the owner realizes that she has no other competition in MD unlike the ones in VA, she overcharges on every cake. Her prices are a rip off! Its a damn shame… its almost stealing from her own people which is sad actually

Great customer service! I bought a vegan cake for a daughter of my friend who has allergies to egg and she enjoyed it. It is also a fasting season so it was a nice treat for the whole family:

Okay I must say I do not usually write reviews but I had to write one this time so other may learn from this. I bought birthday cake from this bakery given I had ordered several times I specifically asked the gentleman to make sure it is not vegan because vegan cake is so sweet and that is not I was looking for I needed the regular Teramisu cake. Once I picked up, opened the cake in the middle of birthday celebration it happened to be vegan and also soaked with coffee almost halfway. I took the cake back so they can see, the owner couldn't even speak to me properly nor did she attempt to understand what happened. Although the cashier tried to help I can see the owner did not bother to care!. I was asking to at least get a piece in exchange of the full cake given the game the wrong cake plus cake soaked with coffee. She said that is how it made and I should keep it in the refrigerator so it can dry. All I am saying they have zero customer service incase you run into issues. Loyalty has no value to them nor do they care about your experience.

Had a meeting with a client who want to buy a home in this area. Choose this place because it is inexpensive and you can find good coffee,dessert,juice as well as main Ethiopian dish like tibs and or kitfo the only thing the place is tiny but can accommodate.

Had some great lattes with the wife the other day. Really enjoyed the light not overly sweetened cakes and pastries. We tried the butter cookies and slices of marble cake. All really good. I think it was a type of shortbread cookie that just melted in your mouth.

Great service, decent food. Vegan tiramisu was great, but neither the napoleon nor the apple strudel were fresh.

What a disappointing service. I ordered a Napoleon cake six days ago for my niece’s birthday and I was told that the order was cancelled by mistake on the day I went to pick up the cake. The person apologized for what happened and offer to have the cake ready in an hour. I was okay since the person apologized and at least offer to help. However, the cake was just not what I expected. It was just not satisfied compared to the actual cake I have ordered in the past. It was just tasteless and dissatisfying. I hope you work on improving you services better.

My friends and I went there last Saturday April 7, 2018. We had ordered cakes and I wanted a different one so I asked the barista to change the order. She said that she can’t and that they won’t be able to give it to anyone else. I was so furious! There was no remorse or any type of apology. She even gave me an attitude when she gave me my coffee. This used to be my favorite spot for a good tasting cake. But I rather eat a mediocre cake with a great service than to ever go there again!
