Went there with my spouse and got a Ruben and a club sandwich. Food was good . Peanut butter pie was absolutely delicious. Service was good. Atmosphere was kinda outdated. Everything else was good for a little diner.Food: 5/5
The food was excellent. I definitely recommend the grown up grilled cheese and the tomato basil soup combo. My husband had the Reuben and fries and said the sandwich was decent but the fries are a hard pass. Order the soup or a different side instead. We myself, husband, and son all ordered the French silk pie for dessert and it was delicious. The crust was perfect. My only complaint was service. Our waitress was nowhere to be found halfway through the meal. We had to flag her down just for refills. Parking: Easy parking Kid-friendliness: Excellent options for kids
My family of 5 had lunch here today and ALL of us really enjoyed the food and the service. Patti is an exceptional waitress that kept our needs fulfilled and our glasses full. The meals were very good as well. We will definitely be back in the future!Food: 5/5
Hadn't been to Village Inn in quite some time. It was just as good as I recall. The food was cooked fresh & the service was great!Food: 5/5
I’ve always been very pleased to go to the Varsity Inn. The food is consistently very good, and the service is very good too. They have a large variety of breakfast items served all day. And they have great pies. And on Wednesdays you get a slice of fruit pie free with your meal. Kid-friendliness: Family friendly with large groups and families every time I go in.
The storefront is very worn and outdated. The food was ok. We both had an All World burger and fries. The burger was wet and the bun soggy. The fries were under cooked and mushy. We still ate everything. The burgers were cooked correctly and of course the pies were okay.Food: 3/5
My wife and I went tonight to have a bite to eat. We were met quickly and seated, and given drinks and menus. Our server, who I am going to say was Makayla, and I'm sorry if I'm getting her name wrong, unfortunately my memory doesn't serve me as well as it use to,came by took our order and being very attentive to our needs, was always making sure we had everything we needed while waiting for our meals. When she brought them out in a reasonable time, they looked amazing. The cook did a great job with the food, and presentation. The food was perfectly cooked, and we so enjoyed it. Malaya was very good at being patient with us eating, and very attentive to our needs, asking once we're done eating our meals,if we'd like dessert, which wife n I had already planned on some carrot cake each, but unfortunately we were so full from our wonderful meal, that we did get dessert, but to go,at this point, lol,we were full,as I know I mentioned this earlier. Anyway, once we got our desserts and check we went and paid, which I made sure to leave Makayla a 20% tip,as she did such a wonderful job,and I wish I could have left the cook a tip as well,it was well deserved. Thank you all for a wonderful meal and experience, we both appreciated it.
Pleasant family diner/restaurant. Descent food if you go for dinner. Personally, I think the best dinner option is the pot roast. But, the mashed potatoes are instant. Breakfast is served all day and is very good. Very good sandwich options. Wait staff are exceptionally friendly and good!Food: 4/5
Great food. We’ve been here probably 10 times in three years and never had a bad meal. The crepes are really good so make sure you get at least one to try. Also they have a huge selection of pies that I think they make from scratch it tastes like they do. The place is clean, the service is great and they have Pepsi products, which is always a plus for me.
Best Pies! If you've never had a Village Inn pie... stop reading this review and go fix that ASAP! French Silk, Apple, Strawberry Rhubarb, Key Lime, Lemon Meringue, Coconut Cream... the list goes on. And around holidays, they roll out seasonal specials, like Peppermint Chocolate at Christmas. You can buy a whole pie or just a slice. Either way, you're in for a treat!
