Toe Beans Cat Cafe in Port Hope is an absolute gem for cat lovers. The atmosphere is inviting, the cats are well-cared for and playful, and the staff is knowledgeable and welcoming. The cafe's menu offers a great selection of drinks and treats. It's a harmonious space where you can relax and enjoy the company of adorable feline companions. A must-visit for a heartwarming experience!
What a wonderful experience. Friendly staff, good coffee, delicious brownies and the cats were wonderful to be around. One suggestion is that there is a time limit on the “quiet” cat room. There were two patrons in the room for the full hour and my daughter didn’t have a chance to visit the shy kitties during our stay.Food: 5/5
Cat cafe in Port Hope. Admission fee $7 plus tax. You can purchase drink n snack. I didn't get any, just want to visit the cats. Not a very big place, so reservation is recommended. Not fancy place but you can spend 55 minutes there. I have been to a cat cafe in Korea, they are a lot bigger n the Admission fee includes drink, and have more different section to take pictures with the cat. But there is not much cat cafe in toronto, still worth visiting.
This cafe is such a wonderful idea. I have been to many cat cafes in Korea but always missed them here in Canada. They make great coffee here, I got an Americano black and the flavor was great. Got an ALT and grilled cheese. Both were tasty. Great drinks, food and you get to play with adorable cats. I love this place! I'm from out of town, I wish I lived closer so I could come more often. I am allergic to cats but I love playing with them. I used to leave other cat cafes after an hour all stuffed up and teary eyed. But not here! They keep this place super clean. I only had a few sniffles but no allergies at all coming here. Made me second guess if I had allergies at all. I highly recommend coming here and help supporting this wonderful business and helping cats find their forever homes.
Really cool little café / cat adoption house. Grabbed ourselves a cold lemonade and headed to their Cat Room to chill out! The Cat Room is open for both visitors & adoptions of their ameowzing foster kitties.Food: 5/5
What a wonderful place! My partner and I were able to visit Toe Beans recently, and I'm so glad we did. I can't comment on the food, we spent our whole hour visiting the cats, there's so many of them and such an array of personalities. Staff were personable and friendly, and eager to provide information on every animal. It's very clear that the well being of the cats is priority, and that's exactly as it should be. There's lots of places for the cats to escape if overwhelmed, but lots of room to interact too, when they're feeling friendly. I especially appreciated the care taken to keep shy or anxious animals safe, with the quiet room. You do need to leave shoes outside, and observe rules about not picking up the cats, removing cats from cages, or yelling, but all of this information is provided up front, and just common sense. These are rescue cats, many from feral colonies or bad home situations, and this keeps them safe and able to adjust to the idea that people don't need to be scary. Having one of the shy ones warm up to you is an experience that can't be compared. Thanks Toe Beans, you're doing a great job!
The perfect place for animal lovers! Staff: Friendly and approachable. Making an appointment was easy and I was helped shortly after submitting an inquiry online you can also call. Upon my arrival to the cafe, I was greeted by staff and got a quick run down of the cafe rules. Cleanliness: The cafe and various rooms within were very clean. Washroom was also clean and stocked. Food/drink: Their menu has a wide selection and prices are fair. I ordered a grilled cheese and iced Americano which tasted great. Environment: There was calming music playing in the background. The space is perfectly designed for the cats to play and rest there are cat trees, tunnels, wands, and other toys, etc. There was a separate room for the kittens and another room for the cats that are more nervous. You can tell the cats are happy and relaxed here - some of them will come and say hello! Overall I had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend this cafe to others. Can't wait to visit again :
Love the vibe of this place. Lots of space and the decor is fantastic, plus a shelf of books and games to go along with tasty treats. We got very caught up in Catopoly game but our hour ran out just before I could be proclaimed the winner. The staff were very professional and welcoming and the establishment's rules show how much they care about the cats in their care.
The turtles brownie was to die for and all the espresso drinks I tried were great! The cats were adorable and the staff were super helpful in explaining rules and helping with the cats.Food: 5/5
I honestly cannot say enough good things about Toe Beans. We got our girl Frankenstein was Monica at the beginning of July and she has been the greatest addition to our family. Her and our other cat Dracula became best friends so incredibly fast. He keeps her company when we are at work and they are never far apart from each other. We knew getting her was such a good idea because we could tell he was lonely. The staff there - especially Jess was amazing when it came to finding the perfect kitten when we went. Turned out to be Miss Frankie J. Keep doing all the amazing things you do for these sweet cats and kittens. They are all so lucky to have you! Thank you again!
