Enjoyed my meal here with my friend, started with their house salad, as everyone told me, it was a must try, Katsu boxes are big hits there so if you don’t know what to get, you won’t go wrong with those! Got shumai for an appetizer and I’ll get it again. Sushi was good, and so were the rolls!
authentic looking Japan vibes, food served is so much different from what was described in the menu, i expected more but i was disappointed. service was okey, the staff where not that happy to see us. for me the best japanese food i have tried is still mikado, the food and service is superb.Food: 3/5
Have dined-in and ordered out multiple times. Food is always fresh and timely and the staff is very courteous. Lots of options too! You can also call-ahead and reserve a private section for a large group which is really nice! Vegetarian options: Half a dozen vegatarian rolls. Veggie tempura also vegetarian! Parking: Parking lot has a ton of spaces so parking is not a problem. Dietary restrictions: Plenty of vegetarian and even some vegan! options. Several of the rolls are vegan, just know that the fried rice and low-mein are NOT vegan!
The waitress was so rude to me and my friend. I’ve never posted any bad reviews on Google, but today we had a bad experience at the restaurant. Even though I have come here many times before, this time was disappointing. The waitress didn’t provide good service. We asked for two bowls, and she put them on the table rudely without saying anything. She didn’t come to ask us if we needed anything, even though it was not busy at all. However, this hadn't been a big deal yet. The thing that made me get mad was the attitude of the waitress. The total bill was $39.22, and we decided to pay $42 including a $2.78 tip in cash because we were not happy with the service. We gave her $50 in cash and asked her to give us $8 back. Although we saw the suggested tips on the receipt, we just wanted to give her that much. However, she came back with the change and asked us, 'The suggested tips are at least 18%, but you only gave me $2.' We told her that we only wanted to give her that much, but she kept asking for more. In the end, my friend had to give her an additional $2. I’ve never been in this situation before, and it was so annoying. I used to work as a waitress, and even when I served a group of three people who gave me $0, I was not rude at all.
This is by far, the most amazing sushi place in town. Hands down. No questions. Very delicious rolls with amazing and bold flavors. BEST CHICKEN FRIED RICE ever. Authentic. Clean and some of the nicest staff ever. I've been coming here for over 10+ years. If I ever had any issues, the restaurant happily takes care of it without questions. Well worth the money.
Despite the conflicting signals of an "open" sign and dark windows, we're glad we checked and found this place open. We had a platter of hibachi shrimp and another of assorted fish. Both were delicious and reasonably priced and promptly served. The atmosphere is modern with some Japanese-inspired privacy between booths. 80s music wasn't exactly authentic Japanese, but pleasant all the same. Having identified ourselves as new to Japanese food, it would have been nice to ask some questions about our food or what to do with the extra dishes we were given or for a drink refills. After being served, we didn't see our waitress until we flagged her down for our check. Still don't know what the extra plates are for or how to eat soup without spoons, but we like a challenge.
When I was gonna open the bag to look at my food I was unknowingly tipping it sideways and a kind lady told me the food is laid this way and when she asked if I was trying to look at it, then opened the boxes saw I knocked some stuff over, no biggie, still would taste good, she had the chef because she did not have gloves they did put it back in place, they didn’t need to do that but this interaction made me appreciate the care they put in
Our first trip to Tokyo Grill & Sushi will not be our last. We had wonderful appetizers, including delicious kimchee and fantastic edamame. The other couple we were eating with enjoyed their tofu miso soup so much they ordered another bowl. The entrees, including variations on hibachi were also delicious. The service was very attentive.
Quiet restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. Good food, freshly made sushi. Lots of options. You can also reserve a special table where you sit down into the floor. Pretty cool experience. They offer more 'American style' dishes, but locals know how to order their favorites made traditionally.Food: 5/5
Ok, I’m not a big sushi eater, but this is as good as any I’ve had. Lots here to try. There are literally dozens of rolls on the menu. I had the rib-eye maki. It was delicious. My daughter had the “kids” shrimp fried rice, it would have been a big enough serving for me. Our waiter pronounced “How” I have no idea how to spell it was very attentive and patient with our questions. We will definitely be back to try some more.
