Tommy Doyle's is an absolute gem of a restaurant and bar. From the moment you step through the door, you're transported to a warm and welcoming atmosphere that's just perfect for enjoying a delicious meal or drinks with friends. The food is simply outstanding. The menu is full of classic Irish dishes, and everything is cooked to perfection. The shepherd's pie is a personal favorite, but I've never had a bad meal here. The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the flavors are just delightful. The drinks are equally impressive. The bar has a great selection of beer, wine, and spirits, and the bartenders really know their craft. Whether you're looking for a perfectly poured pint of Guinness or a creative cocktail, you won't be disappointed. But what really sets Tommy Doyle's apart is the service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always goes above and beyond to make sure you're having a great time. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you'll be treated like a VIP. All in all, I can't recommend Tommy Doyle's Irish Restaurant and Bar highly enough. If you're in the Newton area and looking for a great place to eat and drink, this is the spot for you. You won't be disappointed!

Good local Newton bar and restaurant. Not going to lie it’s weird drinking lots of beers in between families but I guess it’s ok. Many different beers on tap and good food here. Service was good and the staff was friendly. For the Newton/Boston area, the food and drinks are priced pretty well. Will be back again for sure.
went in on the 4th of July since most places were closed. service was good but not great. i got the clam strips and requested tater tots instead of the fries and i am glad. they serve the steak fries which are never crispy enough for me. the clam strips and the tots were crispy and delicious. i got the lemon blueberry ginger fizz which was good but i couldn't taste any of those 3 flavors much plus the drink seemed weak. it tasted good but not what i was hoping for. i will definitely go back to try more.
My husband and I came for lunch on a Wednesday. Not crowded at all! Very good burger and honey mustard chicken salad. Lots of Irish decor and tv screens.
Ordered the sirloin tips medium rare and got well done. Very stingy portion. Service not up to par. Sticky surfaces. Food tasted good though.

The Shepards Pie is good BUT the size was questionable cup size for $15.99 and if you it loaded with bacon and chesse add $1.50.
