We brought my son here from his first appointment to around his 4 month well visit. The care here was wonderful. We loved our doctor and had come to form great relationships with the staff. But I do have to say I am very disappointed in the scared tactics that were placed in my and my husband due to our decision to not vaccinate my child right away. I was very open about learning about all of the vaccines, and I was aware and VERY understanding that it was their policy. But at the end of the day it is my decision and my husbands to decide what is best for OUR child. As a new mom, I don’t believe that a doctor should be scaring me into doing something. I am very disappointed. Shame on them for not respecting me and scaring a new mom.
We have been here at least half a dozen times and the team is incredible. So thorough in explaining everything and respecting my parenting decisions, and above-and-beyond empathy, even from the front desk staff. Dr. Kanaley is the best doctor I have ever interacted with - he uses an evidence-based approach and actively listens to ALL concerns, big and small. We look forward to our visits with him. I would also like to note that Kacey the Medical Assistant was incredible - extremely thorough and experienced, while also so empathetic.
I have been going to this practice for my entire life. I have never had a bad experience with this practice and with this office. Dr. Kanaley has been my primary card dr since I have been a newborn. My brother and I both go to him, he knows my family very well. I have no complaints and I do recommend Dr. Kanaley and this practice to whoever is looking for a primary for their new born or their kids. I recommend them to my family and my friends. I will be sad when I have to leave them and go to a regular dr and not a pediatric dr.
I’ve been coming here over a year now with my premature twins to Dr Kanaley and love it here, as much as you can love a place that gives your kids shots : he has supported us through all of the obstacles we have faced through twin 27 weeker prematurity which is a lot. I’m not sure if they would be hitting their milestones if he didn’t have my back in advocating for our son especially! Thank you for all you do!
Horrible office! Nurse administered the HPV vaccine to my son even after I refused it. They waited two months before calling to let me know, then acted like it wasn’t a big deal... Nothing was done about that medical error! Very scary, would never allow them to touch my children ever again! We left the practice! Untrained and not professional.
Transit Meadow/Tonawanda Pediatrics has wonderful, kind, knowledgeable physicians and staff. We have always had a good experience with them. The office is lovely and uber clean. They seem very organized. The appointments run relatively on time and the doctor has never seemed rushed, even the one time they were running a bit late. The rooming/nursing staff are all very competent whether with taking vitals/measurements or giving injections. I feel confident my kids won’t get unnecessarily exposed to a vaccine-preventable illness too since they have a strict pro-vaccine policy and don’t accept patients who won’t vaccinate. Another perk is that they go to the hospital and see your newborn so the transition is smooth right from birth instead of using a hospitalist pediatrician which a lot of practices do nowadays. We highly recommend them and are very thankful to have them as our childrens’ doctors!
We use to love it there. Barb Smith was awesome, the rest not so much. And the new answering service is HORRIBLE. It sends your information to a random nurse place out of state so they know nothing about your child. And it takes them a MINIMUM of an hour to call back. In an urgent situation an hour is way too long and unacceptable! It was great when if you called after hours you would actually get to talk to one of the doctors in the practice.
We love Dr Kanaley! The nurses and staff are wonderful as well!
We love the Doctors. Nice modern new office and very clean too.
Great office and great staff. A doctor is only as good as the information you provide them with.
