Tonki Donkatsu restaurant

Absolutely wonderful restaurant from genuine & welcoming owners to stellar, authentic dishes. The food is always presented beautifully, & it all tastes as delicious & fresh as it looks! The restaurant itself is extremely clean & has a welcoming, homey atmosphere. Every visit to this restaurant is as equally good as previous visits! Also, the owners are not only excellent cooks, but they are also skilled artists & musicians! The art on the restaurant walls is done by the husband! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

The service was amazing. The food was OK, but I think I ordered something I just don't like. I really feel like a negative review would be unfair to the super nice staff, I think i just ordered the wrong thing for me. I will try again and order something else.Food: 4/5

Always such a lovely experience here. Very calm and food always seems to arrive so quickly. Food is super good, wholesome, comforting, and always feels like the perfect amount.

Great place for Japanese cuisine. Definitely a hidden gem. Spicy Yaki Udon was terrific.

Amazing food! I had my 15 month old daughter with me and they were super accommodating. Pork ramen and both appetizers were the best. If you ever have the opportunity to stop by, it is a must. Also, there are beautiful pencil drawings all over the walls drawn by the chef. Perfect lunch spot.

Hands down the best Japanese I have had in a restaurant. Very authentic Ramen shop. I had an Udon combo with pork cutlet, takoyaki and gyoza. I was floored by the takoyaki, I haven't had any that good since high school! Highly recommended

Lovely hole in the wall place owned by Koreans. The walls are covered in gorgeous art and the food is delicious. I tried their curry udon dish with fried pork cutlet and a plain chicken cutlet dish. I prefer the plain chicken by far as it showcases how simply cooked food can be amazing. Their curry was also good but the sauce does make the cutlet soggy. To prevent this ask for sauce on the side. Their sweet tea has a unique Korean flavor to it, I think it’s the type of tea and sweetener they use. Very good Japanese restaurant in a small town.

OH MY GOD SO GOOD. The owners were probably the nicest people I've met and they both had really interesting hobbies. The food was so full of flavor every bite was bursting with it. It was also ready very fast. We didn't have to wait at all for our meals. Even my picky 5 year old found something he loved and that is RARE. I love how homey it felt inside along with the calm music and the rain outside. It felt so cozy. This food I would definitely put up there with other comfort foods. It also wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be which was a very nice surprise. 10/10 would eat there again. Very satisfied
