I must say it is probably the best shoe places in Los Angeles. I am Alan's customer for many years now and love the whole experience. A lot of reviewers / customers a turned off by his aggressive sales style but keep in mind this is the only way for a small store to survive. Also he knows what he is talking about so his self confidence comes from experience. I enjoy every purchase there. A must visit for every shoe lover in LA
My yeezys cost more than the shoes in this place, this comment is for the worker that stands at the door discriminating. Make sure to read on to know why I made the first comment. I always choose to shop small because I love to support local businesses, but the guy managing this place wouldn’t even let me enter the store. He judged me before I even entered the store. When I tried to walk-in he stopped me and said we are closed. I thought that was weird since it was 5pm and stores on melrose don’t normally close until 8pm. So I went on my way and kept shopping, bought a bunch of stuff FYI. On my way back passed the stored again and I saw him still with the doors open, lights on. I asked him “I thought you were closed?” He said rudely “are you shopping?” Then went on his phone and dismissed me. I can only conclude that he thought I couldn’t afford anything in the store so he decided not to let me enter. So discriminating and probably racist.
If you need shoes, go elsewhere granted the rudeness and attitude of the owner and his dad. If you need STARBUCKS sweeteners, sugar and napkins come to Tony Ks. The owners dad visits the STARBUCKS next door and steals all of their supplies on regular basis. The coffee shop staff knows, the customers know, but can't say or do anything about it. Sad. Pathetic. The actual thief is the old guy, grandpa like, gray hair man who makes it a routine to steal free supplies from a neighbor business. What a legacy to leave behind?! It could be that the son does it as well, but hasn't been seen in action yet. I hope it's a hobby and not a way of making living. To add insult to injury, the owner and his dad tend to throw all of their store trash in the Starbucks trash cans, as if they can't manage their own pizza boxes and junk. Shane on them. A family business with no family values. Boo * Next time I'm in the area, I'll catch a video or a photo of the little thief. Stay tuned...
Hey homie how's it? Tony K is my good friend. He calls me Seth Enslow but,I am JimmyZ. I think we will change the name of your new store. Love you hefe no play.
PEASE BE AWARE: NOWHERE ON THESE SHOES SAYS "MADE IN ITALY OR HANDMADE"!!!! BUSINESSES LIKE THIS SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. The worst swindler ever. Alan is the middle aged son of the owner owner is the elderly guy pushes and haggle you into believing that the shoes they carry are "handmade and are Italian made". The most uncommon and literally worst experience one could face in a retail shop. These guys should be reported to BB since they try to sell you fake, Chinese shoes as handmade and Italian and they charge you 300% more for it. If I knew that these last only 2 months before they get ripped I would no have stepped in foot in his store...Like somebody else has said I wish I had read all of their reviews on Yelp!!! It was stupid of me anyways. Never again.
IN SHORT: SCAM…SCAM….SCAM FAKE…FAKE….FAKE SHOES MADE IN INDIA….WATCH OUT!!!!! WILL TORN APART WITHIN A FEW WEEKS. THE WORST QUALITY AND SERVICE EVER I WISH I HAD READ ALL THE SHOWING AND UNRECOMMENDED REVIEWS ON YELP BEFORE PUTTING A STEP IN THIS STORE… THE WORST QUALITY, FAKE SHOES… DO NOT DO IT…DO NOT SHOP HERE…THEY FORCE YOU TO BUY THEIR “MADE IN INDIA” FAKE SHOES, WHICH WILL BE TORN APART IN A FEW WEEKS, UNDER THE DISGUISE OF EUROPEAN MAKE… SHAME ON THE SON OF THE OWNER ALAN!!!!…HE IS NOT A KID EITHER AND ONE WONT EXPECT THAT KIND OF AN ATTITUDE FROM A GUY WHO IS AT LEAST 5O YRS OLD… DEATIAL: As I was walking down the street, Alan, the son and the only employee of the store lured me in and promised me good price for his “Italian leather shoes”!!!! I was not interested to begin with however this guy won’t leave you alone until he convince you that you need new shoes spice of putting you down as well so you will feel that his shoes are all that… Finally he dropped the price of pair supposedly “Italian” shoes from $350 to $80. I am sure they must have worth $40 max!!!! At that point stupid me against my better judgment went along with this scammer and bought the shoes. I only had them on for 20 days when the sole started to come off and the leather from the sides started to peel. When I returned to the store he became very aggressive and kept on yelling at me. I took the pair to the shoe-maker and guess what??? INSIDE THE INNERSOLE THERE WAS A TAG “MADE IN INDIA” WHICH WAS REMOVED CAREFULLY WITH NAIL POLISH REMOVER!!!! THE SHOEMAKER WAS SO AMAZED THAT SUCH A LOW-QUALITY LEATHER COULD COST $80 YET ALONE BEING TAGGED $350!!!!!! I GUESS IT WAS MY FAULT FOR NOT CHECKING INSIDE/OUT OF THE SHOES CAREFULLY. DO NOT DO IT…THESE GUYS ARE SCAMMERS!
