Went to the shop, to get equipment for my wife and I. We traveled over an hour to get here and we were NOT disappointed. I explained to Tony what I wanted and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He took a good amount of time to set me up with my style of bowling. Great selection too. He was quick and thorough with get the holes and finger tip grips just right. He even asked what our home lanes were made of to get right balls. He moved on to my wife, who is a new bowler and got her in a ball that fit her way of bowling. The surprise was, same day drilling, plugging and inserts. I was amazed. After we were done he gave us some gems to test out, did a few tweaks for my wife’s ball. His stuff that service the balls, were precise. He came down to the lane to check in on us nd the equipment, gave my wife a few pointers and she topped her best score by 25 points. Definitely a repeat and loyal customer now of his. Incredible experience and fulfilling too. Thank you Tony. Scott and Rachel Trythall
I've known Tony for over 35 years. Not only does he know his stuff with respect to equipment, but he also knows the game of bowling. Over the years, he's given me little tips and corrections that, at a glance may have seemed minor but, have made dramatic improvements in my performance. Don't hesitate to buy your bowling gear from his shop. If he offers advice when he sees you roll the ball, listen!
Got my first ball today, I got awesome advice and it's was an awesome experience. Only place I'll go to get my bowling supplies!
I've visited Tony twice: once just before covid lockdowns and once this past weekend. Both visits were game-changing experiences. Last year he set me up with my first pearl-surface ball. Best fit I ever had, perfect layout. Killed it for like a month. Just started back up, and it was a struggle. Severe pain at the base of my thumb, average dropped from around 200 to under 180. Went back to Tony and he set me straight in like 5 minutes. He saw my fingertips were getting a little too deep winter and less bowling made my hand a little skinnier than before, so my thumb was slightly shallow with the ball jabbing into the joint. $8 to go down one size in fingertips and now my grip is perfect again. Then my fiancée wanted her own pearl ball, so he set her up and watched us bowl a game. Her fit is perfect as well, and he gave us both great advice on timing and form. After some rough weeks, a few minutes with Tony got me right back in peak condition. Just shot 649 on a 179 average :D I mean this in the best way possible: I hope Tony never retires.
I am returning to bowling after 22 years off. Went to see Tony and he suggested the ball I bought from him. He gave me a new grip by watching me and getting my pap. Mike did the drilling that Tony had set up. I tried the ball out as my 2nd time using it and my 19,20 and 21 games in 22 years these are my scores 212 202 and 224.I finished the first game with 6 strikes in a row and started the 2nd game with the first 3 strikes. I am extremely thankful to both Tony and Mike as they know how to make me a happy new bowler.
I was very impressed with Tony's knowledge as he helped me select a new bowling ball that was right for me and gave me a 30-minute bowling lesson at a very reasonable rate. He's a true professional who clearly enjoys his craft and his 35 years experience in helping bowlers shows!!! I recommended a friend who just joined a bowling league with me that he really needed to go and see Tony. My buddy also purchased a ball as well. Tony runs a well-stocked pro shop and clearly explains the products to you so you can make an informed decision.
I have had the pleasure of dealing with Tony decades ago when I was a kid and didn't know anything about the game. Having retired and started back up again over the past 8 years, not only did I reconnect with Tony but I am proud to call him a friend. Professionally, his shop carries all lines of equipment and if it's not in his shop, he'll have it there in a day. He doesn't approach his business as a "hard-sell" but rather as trying to help/assist his customer/clients. He has actually talked me out of buying something I didn't need on more than one occasion. He has the experience and wisdom to be the best at what he does - he is not ego-driven like so many pro-shop owners are. His low-key style and knowledge of the game make Tony the only place I would consider when looking for equipment or help with your game.
I’ve had all 3 of my balls drilled at his shop. He personally drilled my third ball and it rolls EXACTLY how I tried to explain it to him. He took the time to watch me roll a few frames and gave me some pointers. This will be the only shop I come to for drilling. Thank you Mr. Rado.
I buy my kids’ bowling balls here. As the kids are growing, adjustments are needed quite often to the thumb hole and span they’re always performing this for us in the spot with no cost if it’s just to enlarge the hole. Competitive prices and good customer service.
Tony is the #1 pro shop in the tri-State area. In depth knowledge of all equipment and drilling styles. He’s a student of the game. Would receive mend to anyone looking for expert advice and also lessons.
