Top Shape Gym (formerly DePaepe's) is the result of a 30 year pursuit of perfection to the point of what many see as extreme if not a bit eccentric. The unmatchable collection of equipment you will see is a virtual showplace of the finest hand picked pieces ever manufactured by the best equipment companies that have come and gone over the past three decades. Nowhere else will you find another gym that offers such a diverse selection of quality equipment.
BEST EQUIPPED BOXING ROOMS
Not only is are we the finest equipped club in reference to cardiovascular conditioning and resistance training, we also offer a fully equipped boxing area at both of our facilities. The rooms are privately located and equipped far better than most private boxing clubs. The boxing rooms include the finest available heavy bags of various weight, several sizes of speed bags, double-end bags, undercut bags, wrecking ball and medicine balls. Both rooms are also equipped with plenty of electric timers to help pace your training.
CARDIOVASCULAR
Our cardiovascular arena is equipped with cardio vision televisions and over thirty awesome machines of every imaginable configuration, including many new pieces that our competitors simply to do not offer. The quality and variety of our cardiovascular equipment is unmatched anywhere. Treadmills, Elliptical runners, Free runners, Recumbent bikes, Rowers, Stairmasters, Versa climbers, Step mills, and Crossrobic machines. You name it, we have it, and by the best manufactures who make it! No time limits are put on your use of equipment at DePaepe’s and there is no waiting list to sign either, they have purchased enough of everything to meet customer demand.
KID'S ROOM
We have provided clean and safe playrooms that are truly functional and continually interesting for young children. Both rooms are equipped with commercial grade toys and furnishings including wooden blocks, doll houses, television, chalk boards, and work station for reading or homework. Playrooms are available during all open hours for children who do not require constant supervision such as infants.
*Note – TSG does not provide child care. This is a kid’s room intended for children who are independent and can occupy themselves. It is the responsibility of the parent to frequently observe their children while in the kid’s room.
CUSTOMER COMMENTS
We constantly receive rave reviews from first time customers who never realized that such a superior club existed in the Quad City area.
We have been notified by customers of occasional message board conversations by out of state lifters who have referenced this gym and the original Gold’s Gym in Venice Beach as the standards of comparison to rate various other clubs where they had trained throughout the entire country. New customers often express regret that they ever spent years training anywhere else.
Newcomers to the area searching for a place to train often stop in after a thorough review of other local clubs and, upon joining, express with great relief their delight and surprise that a real gym of such caliber actually exists in the Midwest. LOCATIONS & HOURS
Most clubs that offer dual locations are of no convenient benefit to customers as they are located too far or even too close to one another. Multiple locations offered by national chain clubs are even less enticing for customers to utilize as they are usually equipped exactly the same.
