Wednesday, June 7th, on our way to the Windsor Palms Resort 66, we were contacted by a Ricardo, Top Villa office manager, who told me that the owner of the Resort I orginally booked a month ago needed to use the resort due to an emergency. I was upset because they waited until the last minute, but, I tried to remain positive. I had to pull over to view other resorts to replace the original one because my family and I were already on the road from SC to FL. I chose Windsor Palms Resort 66. Now, I was told I could not check in early and that check in was at 4pm. We got to the resort at 2pm, saw the Casiola “Property Management team” van and assumed they were getting the place ready for us to check in at 4pm. Came back a little after 4pm. Beautiful resort… But when we got there, we couldn’t get in the pool because it was full of bugs, the pool cleaning tool was broken, and we had bugs in our bathroom. I emailed and called Top Villa and they submitted a ticket to Casiola, the property management team. Today is the second day and finally after calling again, but this time to Casiola, I was told someone would be out and they don’t have an ETA for when the team will come to the Resort to clean the pool. Around 10 or 11 am, the pool service guy came out, said it would take 2 hours. The guy left the hose in the pool and apparently left. We thought he was going to take longer, so we went out shopping… only to come back with the hose still in the pool, white powder chlorine still on the floor of the pool, and bugs. We couldn’t clean the pool ourselves because yet again, the pool cleaning tool is still broken. I’m beyond frustrated at this point. Dennis from Casiola called and said he would have the pool service guy come back out. This is now the second day we can’t enjoy the pool and everyone is now frustrated. I am not one to complain, but being that I have spent so much money not only on the resort, but just for the vacation alone, I’m upset. It’s not just the pool… it’s the whole situation with having to be told at the last minute that we had to pick another resort. And then to pick another resort only to be even more frustrated because things weren’t taken care of before we got to the resort. Katie, a customer support rep is trying to turn things around, but I have yet to hear back from her. Tomorrow will be Friday, and we bought tickets to go to Aquatica because we can’t enjoy the pool, Saturday we checkout and checkout is at 11am. I’m beyond upset. I have my mother and 4 teenagers with me. 2 graduated this past Saturday and this was their graduation gift. This has been the worst experience I have ever had planning a trip/vacation. It’s now 8pm, the sun is going down and still can’t get in the pool. I just received another email from Casiola and was told the white substance that has not dissolved in the water since this morning we were told it would take 2 hours is actually salt, not chlorine. No one informed me that it was a salt pool until now, 8pm going on 9pm, second 2nd day/night at the resort. Thank God no one has any issues with salt. And again, the pool still has bugs and the pool cleaning tool is still broken, so we can’t clean it ourselves.
I rented a Villa called Sonoma resort 18 from Top Villas. The pictures they sent me were beautiful but the house did not match what they sold me on. The home was so dirty and run down. The photos had to be from when the property was first built. The sheets on the beds all stained which makes you feel so dirty! Shower curtains all moldy, appliances broken , outdoor furniture barely existent and what was there broken, airconditioning did not cool the upstairs at all! My family slept in over 80 degree temps every night! This was a very expensive rental and It was such a rip off. Dont waste your money using top villas! Ive had way better on air bnb.
I only gave one star because leaving none was not an option. The home was nice, spacious, and had beautiful furnishings and decor. However, that is the only thing positive that I can say about our stay. I sent this over to customer service. The only thing they did was bring more clean towels, and had someone come in to spray. there were bugs everywhere. Dead bugs, alive bugs, insects, and beetles. They were on the steps, in the kitchen, crawling around in the cabinets, and in the bathrooms. There was even one on the bed. The bathrooms were not thoroughly cleaned . It was hair on the shower walls in one of the bathrooms. The pool lights did not work. We swam in the dark every night. The outlets in the master bathroom did not work. The smoke detector made a constant beeping noise indicating the battery needed changing. After waiting a day for them to replace it it was located in the master bedroom so it kept me up all night we went to the store and bought a battery to replace it. The Jets in the hot tub had a malfunction. Whenever you turn the Jets on it drains the water out of the hot tub. Someone came to fix that around day three. The comforter in the girls bunk room was dirty, and had stains on it. The pillows in the master were dirty and had stains on them. There was a dirty towel folded up with the clean towels. There were no face towels. After requesting them, they brought us a bunch hand towels. So we had to go to Walmart so that we could have something to wash our bodies. Tonight a roach almost crawled in my mom’s food. My niece woke up to a roach crawling on her bed. The roaches are still alive and inside of the property even though they came to spray. Customer service responded with apologies and offered a 10% discount off of my future stay. I will never stay here again.
I advise not to book with them. They have horrible customer service. Are more costly than other agencies, and the homes are not what they show online. Our home had issues with the heat, was infested with bugs and hot tub wasn't working. We spent half of our trip chasing them to fix the issues. We were told be patient. When we complained they said we were harassing's them. DO NOT book with them. You will regret it. I wouldn't even give a one star
STAY AWAY from Bottom Villas!!!!!. I mean Top Villas. Renters BEWARE! Beautiful and spacious vacation rental. Issues were reported immediately; however, the management company denies any reports of the concerns. One of the beds on check in had blood in the sheets. Another alleged clean room had crumbs in the sheets of the made-up beds. We rented two homes that sleep 34 people in each home. There were not enough towels and wash cloths for 34 people in either of the homes. We called upon check in and were promised towels and wash cloths for two days with each of the five calls made. We went out to purchase towels and wash cloths because hygiene is a necessity. Day 2 late in the evening they arrived. One of the villas had a leak from the second floor to the first floor and the bathroom could not be used and the water was shut off. There was a leaking sink in the kitchen that cause water to flow on the kitchen floor. The electricity went out on one wall in the kitchen while we were in the middle of making breakfast. The knobs on the gas stove would spin around like a helicopter. These are only a few of the concerns that were reported. After checking out, Rachel reached out to apologize for the inconvenience. I felt chastised because the staff said we did not report any issues. I have call logs to show the multiple calls made. I would not have had to continue to call, had someone responded and showed some form of accountability. Your houses sleep 34 people, but you can only park 5 cars. Parking is extremely limited which wasn't disclosed until after booking. Nicole did a great job at booking to lure you in all to find you were sold a fantasy. I expected the same type of responsiveness during our stay. I understand things break in homes, however, at a minimum, furnish the basics of clean beds, towels and washcloths. At least have some type of responsiveness. The only time we had a quick response was when the leak from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor was reported as this was a vested interest to the property. There was a lack luster response when there was a need or request from a customer's perspective. Cleanliness is an expectation at minimum. Responsiveness is also expectation. The on-call staff for concerns LIED about issues being reported and Rachel accepted that as final answer. Make Top Villas your last resort to book.
DO NOT BOOK WITH TOP VILLAS YOU WILL BE SORRY!!! Let me begin, my wife booked a condo a month in advance of our trip. One week before we left we get an email from them stating the owner of the condo is having refurbishing done to the unit and we would have to book us another unit. On top of that, we booked for 9 days however when we received our confirmation it was for 7. So we messaged Amanda to let her know our booking was off by two days. We are thinking this is a mistake on Top Villa’s part and would book us to another unit for the same price right? Wrong! One day before our trip, they charge an extra $140. Ok at this point we have no choice we pay the extra fee and jump on our plane. So everything appears ok the condo is nice we are enjoying our time until we hear a bump at the door and someone’s trying to come in. It was housekeeping who was under the impression we were to be out of the condo on the 7th day. We politely informed them that we are paid to be here for 9 days and the guy and lady left. We messaged Amanda again but we did not get a response. Two hours later another member of housekeeping knocks on the door and begins to open the door! We talked to this housekeeper and again politely informed her our stay duration. We called Top Villas again, we finally get someone on the phone to find out unbeknownst to us, on the day of our trip, while in the air, we received another email, claiming we are still short of the total price of the condo for 9 days and we need to pay an additional $190. I don’t feel that this should happen on anyone’s vacation. It just so happened we slept in that day, what would have happened to our things had we gone to a theme park and stayed all day? Would we been able to get back on the property? No one from Top Villas is taking responsibility for our inconvenience. I would totally think twice before booking with them!!
The villa was pretty okay though there were too many issues. The kitchen was infested with ants, and we literally had to check our food before eating if it doesn’t have aunts. And then the pool filter and the hot tub did not work. I tried calling numerous times though they were basically unreachable. Not impressive. Wouldn’t recommend them.
Gaby was very helpful and pleasant to work with! She took all the time I needed to make sure we reserved the right vacation home for our family for our upcoming vacation. She was very thorough and answered all my questions. Gaby was very personable. I was very pleased with my experience working with her on securing our vacation home rental. I will definitely use her again with our next vacation plans!!! I highly recommend Gaby for your vacation planning!!!
The house that we booked had minor housekeeping issues: bugs on the bedsheet, tub not properly cleaned, coffee machine not working, unclean pool, and no Wi-Fi upstairs. With all this money they charge, this is unacceptable. I put in a complaint and requested some money back and they turn around and say there were damage to towels. Towels that people are suppose to use and they say they were damaged. Damages totally almost $300. So to call it even they covered the bill...SMH. I will never book with these people AGAIN!
