Topanga Terrace

My wife was a resident of Topanga Terrace for one year. This a 5 star facility. The Administrator, the department heads, the RN's, CNA's LVN,s and RT's are all very caring and top notch. The business office and social workers are also very professional. They weened her off a ventilator! They also work closely with the staff doctor as well as any specialists. We have been associated with other Sub-acutes, and in our opinion nothing comes close to Topanga Terrace.

My family and I are so overwhelmed with gratitude by the quality of care, the genuine and professional staff who served my 94 year old mother who broke her hip and stayed at Topanga Terrace for 3 months. I highly highly recommend this facility. We had so many wonderful CNAs and Nurses who lovingly took care of my mother. My mother has dementia and there were numerous nights where she would want to get out of bed while not permitted by her doctor due to her surgery and I would stay there till 11:00 p.m. and the Nurses would give me assurance she will be taken care of and they would assign someone to stay by her room to watch over her. The staff including the awesome Physical Therapists were so kind, gentle and patient. Today, my mother is a walking miracle. First because if God's loving kindness as well as the superb care of this wonderful facility. This facility along with the staff became our 2nd family. Thank you Topanga Terrace for your professional operation and care. We are so thankful we chose your facility and would recommend Topanga Terrace to anyone who has a loved one who needs great care. We had my mom stay in Topanga Terrace for 3 months and all the nurses were so nice, taking care of her so beautifully, so kind. Marlen Flores the social worker went above and beyond, helping us in any way she could.Becky the physical therapist was amazing! Everyone at Topanga Terrace was wonderful during a difficult time. They took great care of my mom, helped us navigate things like insurance, and answered our questions patiently.

I had a broken hip and femur. After 8 days at hospital I was sent here. Absolutely amazing place and staff from every Dept. were helpful and most of all kind. PT was amazing and helped me regain my trust in walking even though I was resistant. Wonderful facility. Very clean as well. I was surly blessed to have landed at Topanga Terrace.

My wife was sent to Topanga Terrace for rehab due to broken hip surgery. I am very impressed about the service. Bee at the front desk, every nurse, social services, COVID test restrictions all exceeded my expectations. I fully recommend this rehab.

Topanga Terrace is a convalescent home off Roscoe Blvd in Canoga Park. It isn't easy to spot in traffic. Inside, like all of its ilk, are the usual smells, sounds and sights associated with places that work with the elderly who most often never leave these places as they came in. Staff are okay, this must be a depressing job at times requiring dedication and compassion.

This place advertises well and some nuraes and staff are good, but the adminstration and so called "social services" would rather let an elderly woman writhe in pain for over a week versus getting her the right help. They say they have a dentist but that might, MIGHT, only be once a week, and only if that dentist takes the patient's insurance, otherwise they let the patient lay there with mouth pain unable to eat or swallow. And you have to find your way through their labyrinth of staff to find out who might be able to help with any thing. Sooooo disorganized.

After my 2nd knee replacement surgery at Mission Community Hospital, I notifyd the nurse I want to be in Topanga Terrace Rehab again because of the quality of service I got the first time of my surgery. The nurse on duty always check me how am I doing Judy and Tess and the LVN too who give my medications on time, Mary, Ryan , Ella and Chris at Night Shift, the CNA are so great giving me showers and helping a lot, Veronica, Antonio, Maricruz, and Cecilia. the rooms are always clean as well as the bathroom. The foods are so good and you can request what you feel to eat. The physical therapist and occupational therapist are working hard to make you feel better right away especially Karen, Rebecca and Christian, even they’re tired still smiling after. The activity coordinator make my day, that’s Lorena greeting you with tea or coffee with smile, also the social worker Valerie always ckng on me.
