Torrid is just outrageously expensive! I mean does it really cost almost $9 more to see us some big girls extra material
I went to Torrid for the first time and had the best experience. Initially I was hesitant and nervous because I didn’t know what to expect. I was greeted by both employees upon entry. Stephanie was the best. She helped me so much and was there every step of the way for any questions I had. She helped me choose and look for my size in different styles and had great suggestions. She was so sweet and helpful and very patient. She made my experience a pleasant one. She definitely deserves employee of the month award. I left the store feeling happy about everything I got and will say I’ve been missing out on Torrid and this is now my number 1 favorite store. Thank you Torrid and Stephanie.
Vee I think was her name was the most patient and gentle soul I’ve had help with a bra fitting.. from my full blown panic attack to finding 100 diff sizes for me to try on. She was determined for me to feel good by time in left in what I needed/wanted after I needed a new bra after losing 100lbs. . She’s a godsend
Went last minute shopping and the young lady that helped me was amazing…. Customer service 10 out of 10…. I’m so upset I forgot her name but I will definitely go back …
I'm not sure how to rate this particular store, as it's not indicative of the other Torrid experiences I've had. The store's GM Stephanie was very rude, when I called the store on 2 separate occasions and then when I went into the store, in person. She was condescending, rude and argumentative. On the other hand, Cayleigh was fantastic! She was so helpful and kind. She assisted me in trying to find a wedding dress for my vow renewal. She brought in every dress in my size, she had in the store. Then walked the store with me to look at skirts and tops. She really went over and above, to be helpful. I honestly think she was trying to make up for her boss's rudeness. I also spoke to the DM Kelli, and she was also just as kind and very helpful. I will be back to the store, but if Stephanie is still there, I will avoid her. I just feel she's toxic to the store.
Horrible customer service. Employee was on the phone with a friend completely ignoring us when we were trying to get help. The only time someone acknowledge us was to tell us we need to wear masks. When you have three employees and one customer in your store you think you would be a little more respectful to your clients.
I frequent this torrid because it is local to me but the customer service is never great. Look, I work in retail, I understand it can be draining but I rarely get so much as a hello when I go in there. I went in there today and no one to be found. Then I spent the rest of my shopping experience terribly uncomfortable because there was an employee in the back dealing with a personal matter that could be heard from outside the store. Again, life happens. I totally understand that, I battled with myself if I even wanted to leave this review. The amount of foul language and loud screaming I heard while I was in the dressing room was alarming. I’ve dealt with personal issues while at work myself. If you cannot compose yourself, might I suggest taking a 10 outside the store? It was just an extremely awkward situation and this store could definitely use a customer service overhaul.
I personally LOVE this store I cannot fit in "normal" teenage sized clothes but this store has absolutely everything. I recently went back to school shopping here and all the associate's we super friendly and very helpful. They helped pick out clothes that they thought would look good on me and as a very self conscious high school girl they really made me feel good about myself. I deffenetly recommend coming here. All the staff is wonderful and attentive.
I have been shopping at Torrid for years, I really like the clothes and my two adult daughters as well. It’s not cheap and we spend alot of money there. The few times I’ve gotten something I didn’t like I would try to exchange it for something of equal price or the exact item in a different size...the manager of this location would tell me I bought the first one on sale and I have to pay a difference to exchange it. It’s always a problem. And she NEVER smiles. So the past few times I’ve ordered online. My most recent order was made on the Torrid app and due to a “glitch” I mailed back some items but that is another issue. I kept a pair of size 5 premium black leggings that I had mistakenly ordered and took them to my local store to exchange for a size 1 of the exact same item. The manager Cassandra told me I paid $13 for the leggings and the size I needed isn’t on sale so I have to pay a $5 difference to exchange. I did tell Cassandra that this is the reason I don’t shop in this store anymore, I didn’t mention her horrible attitude but she reluctantly made the even exchange. I always leave this store unhappy. When I got home I called the store and ask for the managers name she told me to hold and layed the phone on the counter for 16 minutes, after listening to chatter, transactions and laughing they hung up the phone. I called back and spoke to Cassandra she continued to tell me that she had done me a favor by allowing me to exchange the leggings and not making me pay the difference. I don’t know if this is Torrid policy but the store at Arbor Place Mall in Douglasville has the most unfriendly miserable looking manager and staff and the customer service is horrible.
Excellent clothing store for plus size women {sizes 12-26/0X-3x}! It's nice knowing this store chain a has current, trendy apparel as well as bras, underwear, swimwear , shoes, and jewelry for curvier women. We deserve clothes that fit perfect as well as stylish!!! Prices range from $30 to $100, possibly higher for items like coats and jackets...
