TOURNAMASTER’S DARTS MISSION STATEMENT
After many years of playing darts and being involved with various dart leagues, the Krickets
Klub, that I owned, sponsored many teams. During those ten years I visited and entered many
tournaments. Traveling from Boston to Cape Cod and Rhode Island dart events, the one thing
that a constant was that the MONEY BRACKETS were dominated by the more skilled players as
usual; leaving a very small chance of winning anything awaited the rest in a single elimination
format....I know that not much has changed since then...
I would leave these tournaments thinking to myself how I could get the new and mid level skilled
players to enter dart tournaments and have the opportunity to partner up with one of the more
skilled players and enjoy the excitement and rewards of actually placing 2nd, or even better
actually WINNING the TOURNAMENT itself.....
I have also been involved with the various Handicap Leagues of the past (BUD LITE DARTS. .POT
OF GOLD DART LEAGUES)...., though they were effective they didn’t seem to have it totally
figured out. How I run these tournaments is very simple, the Skilled Players get seeded to the
field of players in that week’s tournament, that way we all play as equally as possible.
When an A player plays another A player in a conventional tournament both must shoot A
division darts to win. The way this is set up the A player may draw a NEW or C player, then be
matched up against 2 B players possibly another A/C combination it varies from week to week
that’s what makes its structure workable .When you really break it down it’s the exact same
thing....The A players has to shoot A division darts to win no matter what skill level you have
period.....
Both the Dart Tournaments and The in-House League offers the same thing, a chance for the
new,mid and skilled players to compete on the same team level giving all players/teams a equal
