The Towamencin Township Police Department provides full-time professional and community oriented law enforcement services to the Towamencin community and its visitors. The police department is committed to making Towamencin Township a safe place to live, work and play.
The department consists of twenty-four sworn police officers and six civilian personnel. The department provides a multitude of police services to a resident population of approximately 18,000 people in a geographic area of just under 10 square miles.
The mission of the Towamencin Township Police Department is to enhance the quality of life through the protection of life and property, resolution of conflicts, and by providing a feeling of safety and security within the community. Through a partnership with the community the police department endeavors to reduce the opportunity for crime, preserve the peace, and promote a safe environment through prevention strategies, problem solving, and the identification, apprehension and prosecution of offenders.
